This was one of the best defensive games of the year by the Coogs. Much better than the TCU game. And I am so impressed with Kingston; not only can he be a leading scorer, but he can also just blend into the team game when appropriate. He never pushed to be the big dude. I saw him frequently encouraging and congratulating other players. I want him on the Rockets.
In the meantime I am going to enjoy KF as an unexpected star, possibly the best point guard CKS has ever had, just a little while longer. When the year started I had no idea how good this kid was going to be. As a fan it has been a privilege to watch. Thankful that he is on our team.
If Cenac keeps improving, and you know he will, and Uzan gets with the program (you can see him steadily improving) and kingston stays kingston, Coogs are cuttin’ down nets for the natty.
I think kingston is the best guard he has ever had at UH. Not just the best point guard, the best guard period. I say that and I absolutely loved Shead. Shead might be my all time fave post PSJ Coog. I can’t say enough about Shead and some others but KF is different.
Right on. Kingston's the best player he's ever coached at OU or UH. And, I don't think it's even close.
If we run the table and finish the regular season at 29-2 you can book it we will get a one seed in the tournament. Beginning with ISU on the road on 2/16, Arizona at home 2/21, and Kansas on the road two days later on 2/23, we have our biggest challenge coming up. How we get through will go a long way in determining what type of seed we get in the tournament. I am hopeful but it is probably too much to ask that we win all three. In the meantime we have a tough game coming up Wed night against UCF. No accident they are 17-4. In their recent win over TT they out rebounded them by 13 while TT out rebounded us by 16 in out loss in Lubbock. I think we win but it is not going to be easy.
Almost overlooked this Sat night's game at BYU. That is 5 out of 6 games in the next 2 weeks that is really going to rest our resolve. Some great basketball to look forward to.
