I said the same thing tonight. When Sengun stops being a b***ch and stops letting other smaller bigs push him around and take him out of his spots… the offense could flourish with him running it from the paint.

granted we need another shooter and a PG. but Rockets at their best when alphi can run the offense. I hate to say it, because I dont really like his style of soft ass play. Too international for me.

Insofar and foraslong as the purpose of the game is to score more points than the opponent, KD is indeed, ipso facto, the Answer.

He is part of the answer, not the answer.

We scored 118 last night with everyone involved.

We were tied with the WORST team in the (L)eastern conference entering the 4th and barely squeaked out a dub..........

We lost to Sacremento, Dallas 2 times, the Pelicans, the Jazz, Portland - all with 4th quarter collapses by trying to run it through KD, he can't handle that load, if you want to beat the Rockets you pressure KD and the guards, and we fold up like a cheap tent.

When we play through a team concept like last night we are much better, and yes, that still includes KD just doesnt' have him up top gumming up the flow for everyone else.

Sengun moves body and ball, KD doesn't move either well.

Senhub is the key to unlocking the best in this team.

Agreed that Al-P can easily handle the load against G-League teams

With KD, Jeff Green is the leading scorer in the 4th and we win by 20 again (see: Hawks)

Sorry, when you lose leads so much once teams pressure and you watch KD bungle the ball all over the court, you realize that you are asking a 37 year old to do too much, he is an ELITE scorer, but he is slowing down elsewhere, use his scoring, but don't ask him to be the guy, he can't anymore.

No team has ever won anything built around a 37 year old.

The Rockets should run the same offense in the 4th quarter that they do all game with multiple initiators. Teams know exactly what we are going to do with either KD or Sengun ISO’s and we have no answer for it. Sengun was the right call last night, because Indy has great perimeter defenders, but nobody to protect the rim. That’s not the case with most teams we are competing with.

Not surprising an autist made this thread….

The issue has been execution….. Sengun and Amen are more than capable of turning the ball over and missing free throws with or without KD.

How many times did Sengun turn it over in the 4th without KD against the Pacers?

Players don't forget how to dribble and pass as they get older. But they do have a harder time getting off the ground to get shots off. Durant doesn't have this problem and he has the versatility to play anywhere. Oh, and he can see and pass over the defense better than anyone on our team.

If we were talking about "point-forward" Draymond who's old, and fat, and can't shoot and has a 26% TO%, and is still starting on the Warriors, then I'd agree with you

They don't forget but they do SLOW DOWN, and KD has slowed down, he doesn't get by people as much anymore he leans back and shoots over them - his dribble is slower, his passes and recognition are slower, all leading to worse things happening with the ball, he is an ELITE shooter, he is not elite at much else.....even on defense he picks and chooses when to play it, he generally doesn't jump to guard at the rim, just let's people score, he does play D at times, but not consistently = there is nothing wrong with recognizing the guy is slowing down.......

And that we want to leverage the best parts of him for the next 2.5 years.
