I went to the Wizards Clippers today - it was wild because I realized I've been taking my boys to Capital One Arena watching Harden put 30+ on the Wizards since they were in preschool (now going into high school)
We’re good. Home-heavy schedule gives Reed and Amen a lot of breathing room for development. I think they’ll both be better at this by the time playoffs arrive. Teams will have been trying to pressure them all season. Just get someone cheap as insurance PG. Don’t trade anything super valuable. Second rounders, Capela, Okogie, Holiday contracts should be enough. We’re like 30 games away from getting Fred back, it would be insane to dump $40m per season into James Harden right now. I guess it’s only people who don’t understand cap limitations who think that’s manageable. We’d be paying two guys over 36 around $90m next season after 6 years of rebuilding. That is pure unforced stupidity.
Harden is expiring next year after his PO - Perhaps you don't "understand cap limitations" because that is exactly the situation in which one could resign him at a lower more team friendly # for an extra year. There are obviously reasons not to get Harden but pretending like his cap # is prohibitive is - oh, I don't know.... "Pure unforced stupidity"?
Harden will make us unstoppable on offense. His ball placement is still elite and that's the area we struggle in the most
Its always been a dream of mine to recreate that okc team but older. Its time. Bring James and Russ home.
Love Harden but not sure if he is right for this team also its basically finanically impossible unless he gets bought out
looks like Harden wanted an extension, but Clippers didn’t want to give him one because they’re all in on the 2027 offseason where they’ll have the most cap space in the league and almost everyone off the books
He would be a near perfect fit offensively but him, KD and Alpi on court at same time would not be stopping a lot.
Does Harden, CP3, Zubac for Tari, Steven Adams, DFS, a pick work? Then trade Sengun and picks for Giannis!
