I think everyone knows we are average and it’s pissing ppl off. First round exit is very likely.

 

A totally fair assessment, and I agree on both counts

 

Clearly more clear about Maye than Flagg.

- 34 points and 25 shots is not a knock (50%+ FG)
- 12 rebounds... ignored (although maybe a "weak" rebounder ala Dirk)

The 49 points was 29 shots.

Low turnovers

Rockets are prob 80% chance 2nd round and done - with a better chance losing 1st round than advancing to CF. I understand it sounds harsh. Team fluidity is more unstable without Fred, both offense and defense. Ime can't be trusted to out-coach anyone.

 

Agreed. The odds of us winning a championship this season are very slim. We would need an incredible run of luck IMO. If Reed can't be relied on as a jump shooter, it gets even harder, barring a trade.

 

Yep, the Rockets needed something big to break their way. For 30 games, it looked like Reed was going to have a huge breakout. Last 15, have been depressing. Reed is sucking. DFS, while postionally playing well on defense, his lack of quickness limits his ability to defend anyone with decent quickness and his shot is toast.

What was looking like a deep team has gotten very thin lately.

 

I think the Timberwolves remind me of the Rockets with more traditional positions.....they are also a good shooting team.

If they can play better on the road, they are surely a dark horse in this.

but my view is this... I've seen virtually every player on our team play great ball at one stretch or another... I watched Sengun run constant isos for dunks the other night... i've seen Reed light it up... i know KD is a HOFer thats unguardable when he's on... heck, I've even seen Jabari excel for a few games here and there... now what if all of these things coincided? Our prob is that typically only 2 or 3 guys show up a night and every game is a struggle... but what if the majority of guys got hot at the right time? What if Bari learned to stay in his lane and not try to do too much? What if Reed got outta his head and just hit shots? What if Sengun actually started playing d with passion again?

I mean... ur prob right and we'll get an early exit from the post season... but what if we catch fire?

Reality will prob smack us in the face soon enough... until then, why not at least enjoy the ride? lol!
