I really don’t get it. Adams can’t play back-to-backs, we’re super careful with Tari, and then there are games where Holiday doesn’t even see the floor even though he’s been good for us while Tari’s been out. Meanwhile KD is 37 and averaging like 38 minutes a game this December. Ime is the new Thibs!
Playing a 37 year we have 140 million invested in this many minutes in December is a death wish Ime is showing severe incompetence
Simple: On the NBA power ladder, KD is quite a few rungs above Ime. Adams is quite a few rungs below.
Playing Durant for 48 minutes last night was inexcusable. As was the 8 man rotation on the second night of a back to back. There's no way this team stays healthy if he keeps this up.
This and Fred last year do show a worrying pattern. Ime clearly doesn't like having to put the work in on making his reserves better and prefers to run a short rotation of low-effort vets and hope his defensive schemes and hard work win the day. I still like Ime but the weaknesses are starting to show. A good coach would adjust and do something to shore those up. We'll see.
This is a valid observation. Sengun should not be playing hurt. Stone needs to pull the trigger on a trade right away for another backup center and rest Sengun until he is fully healed.
There are lots that could be had individually like Bryant (Cleveland), Stewart (Pistons), Garza (Boston), Drummond (76ers) many more depending on what kind of asset you are returning. I would rather it be part of a bigger trade to get a SG as well and then it might make it palatable to throw in a FRP. If the Rockets are willing to throw in a FRP I would be intrigued by Porzingus and Kennard for Eason, DFS, and Adams. Porzingus when healthy actually fits our personnel better than Sengun, but could also be used more effectively in Ime’s beloved 2 big offense.
Don’t have a choice. Nobody can step up she the pressure mounts, they succumb. Amen can’t carry the the team on his back. Neither can Sengun. For as frustrating as Jalen was inthe postseason I was always appreciated how he (Dillon)stepped up when Sengun went down. All the attention was on him from the defense and it didn’t matter. He stepped up when the team needed him. but j regards stinks minutes watch, I was agreeing with his thread back in the ending of the deal but then I slowly realized we need heavy minutes from KD to compete. At this point of their careers, our young core are complimentary players and Sengun is compromised by injuries.
Better to safe than sorry with Boston, Charlotte, and OKC on tap this week. The Rockets should still be able to beat the Pacers without KD. They're actually 2-0 in his absence this season and both wins were on the road.
There just a matter of time where KD, will shock the whole rockets community now that Fred, Adams are out, where he is completely out for season with something. DNP on its way.! KD was not healthy that why the nets thing failed, and beginning of year when he was traded to Suns. They should really watch his mintues, if the rockets cant be without him maybe its time for some of these young guns to step up. Jabari Eason, Amen lets go!! Reduce KD to 25-32 mins a game.
Agreed that KD's minutes are too heavy, but our bench remains so empty. Tate probably doesn't make most rosters; the same goes for Jeff Green, whom we seem afraid to play. If we are going to reduce minutes, are we willing to let JD Davison take on a larger role? Or Holiday? Could we just add a G-league/NBA quality guard or a SF that can dribble at least as well as Dillon Brooks so that we can match up a tiny bit better?
