...what a good deal for the Cavs.

I always knew that Dennis the Menace and Keon would be traded because we were in the mix with high interest in Dennis.

He has amazing handles when focused on a contender, and his scoring and overall IQ is underrated.

I still can't believe the Cavs got Keon as well.

Hunter was not a good fit for the Cavs ....he became a 6th man and was inefficient while being unhappy with his role and minutes.

I'll have to check more on this but it seems like this trade will be designed for something else. Some of it doesn't fit the Cavs design, though I would hate to end up with Lonzo.

The Kings will be active for awhile, but I'm told to watch how Orlando and New Orleans clean up redundant depth through trades. Minnesota is also becoming active with Rob and good vet Mike Conley...yes please. Our offers may not be enough...

Regardless of Greek Freak , the bucks are taking offers for many other guys who want to play meaningful minutes. Stones offers may be too low but it's obvious we need another vet Big and guard who can take care of the rock in pressure situations or double teams.

Anyway, if the Cavs keep both guys , they're going to be a much better team. Open shots galore.

Wishing you well after another Rockets close win. X°

Bulls cut Jevon Carter to make the deal. Wouldn't be a bad pickup.

Yeah, Hunter wasn't doing well on the Cavs and Schroder will take up the slack for the fragile as glass Darius Garland (because Lonzo is awful). I don't know much about Keon Ellis.

I dunno because, IMO, Hunter is definitely a better player than Schroder.

Perhaps the outlook for Garland is very bad and so maybe this trade makes the Cavs a little better this year; or maybe not.

The Cavs will be giving Lonzo away very soon to some "lucky" team.

You're definitely correct about Hunter's struggles in Cleveland. The guy had so many nights where he couldn't score an easy bucket and would pout over his minutes.

Dennis is stability and very underrated. He's going to give Donovan easier shots. I'm disappointed that the Rockets didn't make the strongest offer for him.

Keon is another game changer. He can come off the bench and play guard or SG and hits 3s fairly well. He was one of the most productive, clutch players for the Kings, but his minutes were limited. He made the most of it.

And, don't judge but if the Rockets aren't playing, I watch the Kings (and Clippers/magic) even in their brutal losses. It's baffling how bad they are despite having the talent of Zach and DRo (with an attacker in Russ ). They should be better. It must be the water in Sac because DRo is a killer in iso and Zach has the skill set to be a superstar. They're all unhappy there though, and it looks like they're finally giving up. I just hope Doug Christie gets another chance with a better, focused team
Luckily , their young center, (Maxime) has already shown that he's going to be a very good player.

Can Domantis change his contract to something reasonable for us lol? He is a big that is a star but is on the wrong team to be the double double machine he's known to be

Anyway, much love to you and yours

@Codman Do you think we would go after Chris Paul if he gets bought out?

DDR, LaVine etc doing ISOs takes away from the court smarts and passing of Sabonis.

The Kings weren't too bad on Defense several seasons ago and the older Veterans (Schroder, Westbrook, DDR and LaVine) that they have added in the past few seasons appeared to have pulled that down rather than improved it.

Getting LaVine, Westbrook and DDR to start playing hard on Defense seems unlikely, so the Kings should tear it down and start over.

Sabonis will be 30 in May, so they should try to trade him as well because a true rebuild will take a while.

Hopefully Ranadive (Lead Owner) will allow a Rebuild rather than demand than they try to do some Quick Fix Makeover.

This is a great trade for the Cavs, wish we were the ones who got both Dennis S and Keon Ellis. KE is so underrated.

Everybody likes Schroeder...except the team he's currently on.

Good enough to stay in an NBA rotation spot, but not really a person you want to be locked into.

Is it your sense at all (and who knows how all this will play out?) that Stone is dusting off the old, "We were working the phones, we thought we were close on a couple of deals, but in the end we like our team and our players yadda yadda yadda (you don't believe this any more than I do)....?"

Of course, Stone's cupboard isn't stocked, unless he wants to try for a big move that may be bold but not wise. Again, who knows?

Dennis is a nut, who is selfish...not about winning ball. Hunter is a jack who's on the downslope of an underachieving career. Ellis is a good get...largely though, this deal is kinda...so what.
The Kings are a sinking ship. And, Cleveland isn't winning anything.

Dennis seems to be a better FIBA player.
Also Germany respects his game while he is not really loved here.

Not gonna lie I was jealous the Cavs were able to get both Dennis and Keon. And didn’t give up too much. We could use both of those guys on this rockets team. Good for Cavs. But trading a salary filler and some second rounder(s) for these two guys would have been nice. No clue why we weren’t all over it.

Never been a Schroeder fan and there is a reason he cannot stay on one team. Not sure why any Rockets fan that loves our team would want that guy on our team. I know we are desperate for a true PG but rather take my chances than acquire a talent that does not appear to mesh with anyone in the league.

I still don't understand Hunter to Sacramento. I thought they were looking for picks and young players. Are they trying to improve? That's dumb.

Schoeder is a d*** and every team who traded for him wanted to rid him as soon as they can.

Ellis is a scrappy player but there is ample reason he cannot get any real minutes.
