No dipshit that’s not what I actually said. If you spent more time reading and thinking you wouldn’t be under the impression that last years 2nd seed regular season seeding was a bigger achievement than a loss to the 7th seed nobody is saying you rely on something f like a +/- solely, but if you follow your eye test (and in your case someone with poor assessment of basketball fundamentals) you will fall into traps that’s basically Udokas biggest downfall too, relying solely on the eye test is plain stupidity. You need to appraise the evidence and use them together.
K Reed deserved to get trashed and I absolutely critique him especially for the recent performance but Jesus Christ this guy literally waits and pounces on every game thread to 1) talk about how Udoka is the GOAT coach because he got the rockets a 2nd seed and 2) to hate on Reed. Imagine being stupid enough to put more weight on regular seaoson seeding than post season success
He would do good there, team full of cold ass sturdy boi assassins lmao. but we would have to disown him for life
I don't respond in anger because neither of us know one another and those who care to respond in such fashion are usually diminutive mentally or physically. However, since you continue to go down the same road, I'll drive you. You're simply saying that you look at all aspects in assessing a player; +/-, eye test, etc. While, I on the other hand, normally can look at a player and their previous stat line and come to the same conclusion. Its just a difference of how one get their evaluation. After 5yrs, I feel I was right about KPJ, in that he just needed time to mature. I feel as though I am right about Sengun, in that he is more Sabonis, than Jokic, I feel as though I will be right about Jalen needing time, the same as KPJ to mature and reach his expectations and I feel as though I will be right about Reed. He is a small player, who can't get his own shot, he is highly inconsistent, lacks lateral quickness and can not play defense. However, he is a good shooter, it all adds up to a designated role player.
Last night was an example of how Reed alters his shot when on the move against taller defenders. He isn't getting the playing time or reps necessary to figure out how to combat that. Ime is absolutely doing a disservice to him. Just like Sengun. Just like Amen. Seeing a recurring trend here. Ime has no idea how to put his players in a position to succeed. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest that Reed wants a real chance on another team. B-b-b-b-b-ut he's better than Silas so shuuuut upppppppp he's a legend!!!!!!! Any clowns left in this crowd?
The NBA season is long and Reed is basically a rookie after having been red-shirted last year (for whatever reason). He needs to get used to grind and build up his strength in the off-season. Some guys come into the league as full grown men, others need to build out their frames. JJ Redick is an example of guy who came in too small but added muscle. This time next year, when his legs are stronger, you'll see more consistency in Reed's 3pt shot - better defense too.
Just pinpointing the Rockets needs. They need somebody who can score off the bench consistently and right now they don't have it
That isn't what you are doing at all, you are bashing Reed - the Rockets need more than that BTW - they need a system to help players - just as much..... DD
Like I ask you beforehand, what's the difference when you continue to point out the flaws with Jalen Green and that he should be traded?? To me, its the same thing. But even more so, isn't this a thread about Reed TANKING his trade value?
If I pointed it out in every thread like you are doing, then nothing, but if it was just in threads about him....then fine. You just hate Reed, and yet you try to pretend you don't .....I could literally go in most threads find a post you made about Reed when the topic was just something else. Say one thing you like about him.....as a 21 year old 2nd year player, what do you LOVE about his potential? DD
You can literally can go back in this thread, I said, I like/love his shot, his 3pt percentage. However, I can only tell you the truth in what I see and Im sure you see it too. Because of his lack of height, lateral quickness, and that he is inconsistent, I think he is best served as a bench player/role player. That's his potential. How do you see him?
