Is Reed trying to tank his trade value?

The Silas era was like our basketball great depression, it really taught me a lot about life. Things like, we won't always get what we want in life... Or anything at all for that matter so be happy with whatever you somehow managed to get even if it sucks.. like Sengun .. I'm happy he is here...

you should learn to Reed. He was impactful in the 4th Q. So that skewed it. If you look at the quarter by quarter or half by half +/- it will tell you.


I’ve had this discussion regarding +/- several times and even showed how consistent +/- using a regression or simple t-test being simply due to chance is around 1/10000

analytics and stats are helpful you just have to apply the right context and interpret them correctly

I’ll leave you to it, please continue to dream about the 2nd seed experience

Every player goes into a slump through a 82 game schedule. The thing with Reed is and has always been, he is HIGHLY INCONSISTENT.

Nobody is hating on him, I want the Rockets to succeed, I want him to succeed but I said it before they drafted him, all you had to do was look at his college game log. Nothing has changed, he plays the same way....2 or 3 good games, then 2 or 3 bad games.

HE IS ALWAYS UP AND DOWN....You never know what you’re going to get

Do you really believe this? I'd find it hard to believe the Rockets would trade for Reed at this point.

Inconsistency is the worst attribute a player can have, any coach will attest to that and he doesn’t play defense. That's a definite no go

He was impactful last night shot poorly overall but his gravity was effective and he shot 3 for 7 on three balls, so he was a threat - was it his best shooting night, lol - no.....but he made an impact on a game we won.

You have to rely on +/-, I don't. Im sure anyone who WATCHED THE GAME, can clearly see that he was poor in the early quarters but played better in the last quarter when the game was getting out of hand.

I rather rely on my eyes as the ultimate evaluator, rather than +/-. Maybe that's why Morey never won a championship

Let me ask you this, when you pinpoint the flaws with Sengun, do you hate him? Or when you pinpointed flaws with Jalen's game did you hate him? I hope not!

I just took it as, you wanted the Rockets to get better at that position. I don't know how you arrived at that being HATE.

However, I hope that you're honest in your answer but answer me this. Go back and look at Reed Sheppard's college game log and let me know your assessment and tell me has anything changed since he has been drafted?

I think he is good at shooting 3pt shots, I can live with his percentage but he's so highly inconsistent! And that's a major concern....you can not count on him. And if you ask any coach, they will tell you the #1 thing they want from a player is CONSISTENCY

Also, you never answered my other question. Why you so disliked JG inconsistency but love Reed?
