the bet should be that there is irrefutable proof that he staged the attack on behalf of omar. otherwise you have too much wiggle room to weasel out of honoring the bet b/c you could claim that it looks suspicious (which yall are already doing).

if you insist of march 1st thats fine i guess, but i propose a deadline of february 11th. that is two weeks after the incident. if nothing comes out at that point its highly doubtful anything will come out afterwards. march 1st is a long way away and i think by then you are hoping that people will forget about all this.

a) the real question is why this guy would set himself up as a patsy in this utterly stupid incident. he is in jail right now with no bail and based on his criminal history very well might go to prison for a few years.
