Doesn't appear so. Sengun, Amen, Smith, Eason all seme to be the same players they were last year. That's part of the issue. The team was banking on them growing further and that simply hasn't happened.
How is Tari Eason the same player he was last year? He is shooting 47% from the three-point line on five attempts per game. Last year, he shot 34% on three attempts per game.
I know the Rockets were doing well in the 2nd Quarter...but Durant was left on the bench until the 2 minute mark. Should have brought him back in much sooner to see if they could extend the lead.
Disagree on amen and eason. Amen specially has been playing an at all star level in january. The biggest issue isn’t these guys making steps, it’s they still have their glaring issues.
Guess who made thise signings - R Stone. He is awful and nit a real GM….he’s a lawyer. He put together a mess when we should be celebrating the successes of multiple multiple first round picks. He’s beyond awful….his biggest move that he made on his own was Silas and DFS. Why aren’t we talking about firing this guy. He’s hard like 12 first round picks and onky hit success with Alpi and Amen. The rest he’s bombed on. Nice trade for Oladipo too and nice job trading Jarrett Allen for potato chips and picking Jaken over Mobley and Reed over Castle. For some reason we’re paying DFS 53 million total, Smith 28/ year million and Jeff Freaking Green 8 million per year. He’s done ZERO relevant deadlines deals since he’s been here, yet he is beloved in Houston and other than me nobody wants him gone for a real GM.
Ime is a floor raiser but not a ceiling raiser. He is the James harden of coaching. Definitely need to make an assistant coaching move if they are going to keep Ime. Bring in a Mike Malone type of a coach
