Caley called some great games this season. I'm still not afraid of Indy or Jacksonville, Daboll with Cam is a concern but we got the better defense but yeah this division is going to be a ****ing battle
So we are just running it back with all of the offensive staff ? I guess they plan to add more talent and see. Running back needs to be a big priority not having a run game hurt this year. Especially when you go in climates. RT and a center would be nice too
Texans need to figure out a way to have an advantage at NRG early atleast start having the roof open in the heat early in the year would be a start. Since we have to go play in the cold around this time orrrrrr get a higher seed.
DeMeco is still evaluating the staff but Caley and Popovich will be back via Caserio's presser last week
It was a battle this year, still came a game out of winning the division. Still not scared of Indy, Jacksonville, or the t***. Caleb improved significantly as the season went on. I think he called some good games, and honestly the game plan against NE was solid. And Caserio was right in that execution was what held us back. CJ’s lack of execution, leaving tons of points on the field, and giving the game away was what led to the loss in NE. It’s not squarely on him, but the vast majority of the blame can rest on him
The proof will be what happens in year 2 (as it proved fateful with Slowick). The ability to adjust to adjustments (or even anticipate the adjustments and react accordingly/proactively) is what separates ok coaches from good ones. It’s also what Slowick proved incapable of being able to react once teams keyed on their tendencies and predictable play-calls. Also doesn’t really matter what sort of play-calls there are until they shore up the line. I just don’t know if he has that next level aptitude (and we know there isn’t much experience for him to call on). In the end, all franchises make idiotic decisions. Good franchises however correct idiotic decisions as soon as possible.
So the front office think with the potential of addding talent to the trenches and possibly getting some key pieces potentially as free agents in the offseason, that nick caley will actually turn this offense around? Lmfao I don’t see it one bit
How is Jarrod Johnson still employed here?! broncos just fired their OC and Daboll joined the Titans. Since we aren’t firing our OC can we at least fire that jabroni
If CJ continues to play like he did after the concussion no OC will look good. I'm glad Slowik got another OC job. Wonder what he thinks about CJ and the Texans current situation? I'm sure Meco and Slowik are still friends.
Yep, Caserio/Ryans have to try to do everything possible to make things perfect so CJ will have his best chance to be successful.
We gotta get a new punter, Tommy Townsend was too inconsistent, was incredible against that patriots but all over the place during the season
I`m not on twitter, but if this is a tweet from Mixon about coming back with a vengeance in 20626 then I am confused.......we have not heard from you in a year, like WTF dude, how can we count on you? I want a bona fide stud RB to pair with Woody as our #2 along with J Jordan The road to the SB will go through cold cities like KC, Baltimore or Cincinnati and our D travels well in the cold, we HAVE to have a running attack. This vanilla offense needs a road grading O Line and then have CJ make the dink and dunks for chunk plays and the 2-3 explosive plays per game to Nico and Tank. I am over thinking CJ can just fling it all over the yard, just manage the game, take time off the clock and be conservative........................GD that sounds boring as hell, but this team will not go ALL IN on offense and it pisses me off to no end
In all the years that I have watched sports, I have never seen an injured players' status and actual injury kept so secret. I don't know what happened to Joe Mixon in the offseason, and at this point I don't care. He missed the entire season and will be a year older and will still cost a ton (I believe $8 million). Does anyone over on Kirby actually think that he will come back and be effective and be able to play the majority of the season? While the injury was never disclosed (and may never be), at least we know Joe Mixon's hands are still healthy enough for him to be able to post on social media.
did he just srsly blame the defense at the end of his answer? Also, never noticed this before, but he is arrogant af
