Interestingly, an increasing number of Republican senators are decrying the killing of the ICU nurse, and compared to our resident right wingers here at least, they are much more interested in a full and open investigation of that killing, while calling for a change in ICE tactics. They must not be watching the correct influencer channels or something. None of them are calling the serene man holding up his cell phone and trying to help an assaulted woman a "kamikaze."

You can be for deporting illegal immigrants while being against the way it’s currently being executed. That’s fathomable isn’t it? Imagine this, there are people who want mass deportation and very restrictive immigration laws that are PISSED about this being handled so poorly because they believe it will make it much more unlikely to successfully have meaningful immigration reform with so many people in this country being galvanized against the current administrations actions on the matter.

I think it is fair to say most Americans would support deporting people that have not been in the USA long. Beyond that? It is hard to say. Shooting people? Running people off the roads in Chicago and killing them? Going door to door without warrants and entering private homes? Going to elementary schools and waiting for dismissal where they take women and children? Stopping busy roads and pulling everyone out of their vehicles that look Hispanic? Raiding entire apartment buildings in Chicago and detaining people against their will with no reasonable basis? Targeting women and children because there is pressure to have a high arrest quota and women and children are easier. There have been periods of increased ICE arrests in the USA, but they have never been like this.
