Spot on, Nick can word salad this issue all he wants and to be honest, I don't think the guy is trash but if he tells me one more time it's all about execution and the ONLY reason we don't win is due to the fact we cannot execute well that goes back to either the talent can't do what you're asking it to do or the coaches suck at teaching them to execute and to me it's both, you shopped at TJ Maxx for your O Line while other teams shopped at Macy`s, and you hired ANOTHER first year coach with a scheme that only TB12 has had success in. I think Nick hit on Woody as a number 2 back, but we dont have the bell cow we need yet. Now you're going to run it back and double down on it? Granted I "hope", they pick up a stud center and draft 2 interior O Lineman and one stud RB The road to the SB is going to go through a cold weather team and we have to have a stud RB and O Line that can control the clock and run in the bad weather when passing is not ideal. This was the EASIEST path to get to the SB that we will ever see and that will not happen again IMO, next year we will see Lamar, Mahomes, Burrows, Allen come back and we will most likely have to go there to play, and we cannot rely on CJ to pull off a miracle
He's not exactly wrong though. All the team needed to get to the Super Bowl was for CJ Stroud to not have the worst playoff performance by a QB in the history of the league. They were set up for success, but the players, and specifically CJ Stroud simply didn't show up to do their job at an acceptable level.
No one asked CJ to pull off a miracle, they asked him to not have the worst QB performance in NFL playoff history....and he simply couldn't do it. This failure was 100% on CJ Stroud and no one else. He personally let the team down, he's the SOLE reason the Texans aren't in the Super Bowl.
[Schefter] ESPN sources: The Titans are now set to hire former Giants head coach Brian Daboll as their offensive coordinator, contingent upon him not getting the Raiders head coaching job. saleh defense and daboll offense for the titans
Ummm... no TY? Let's hope they focus all their energy on beating the Jags (& just the Glitter Kitties... maybe the Clots)
I'm not sure it would've made a difference, since Caserio was very obviously intent to hire one of his cronies - but, man... the Texans picked the wrong offseason to need a new OC: Daboll or McDaniels would've been terrific hires.
Well looks like we are running things back from a coaching standpoint. So the only hope for a different outcome is Caserio shelling out on OL/RB, something he has never done during his tenure here.
So many better options at OC out there, and we're running back Caley the clown. The playcalls themselves were never good all season, but he can't even get a play in on time, formations are always effed up, etc. Cost us a TD against the Patriots. Is it too much to ask for an EXPERIENCED OC? We've been dealing with newbs for what's going to be four freakin seasons now.
Technically, the Texans could sign me to play QB. The fact that I'm 45, overweight, and have never played organized football is irrelevant. I just have to execute, right?
The OC or CJ? Sometimes it looks like the whole offense is moving in slow motion: motions half-set, the count rushed, the player in motion hasn’t set, and everyone is dragging a step behind. Even if the call comes in on time, timing and execution at the QB position can make it look late to everyone. Even after timeouts, the offense still struggles to line up and get the play off cleanly. The last 2 years with the same issues.
watching the Seattle and LAR offenses operate with precision and competence only magnifies what a dumpster fire the Texans are on offense
[Schultz] The #Titans have received a commitment from Brian Daboll to become their OC, per multiple sources. He’s in Nashville now to sign. Colts have Steichen, Jags have Coen, Titans have Daboll, and we have...Caley
