    I would postulate that people at that age are fickle and will easily change once a trend is over.

    Were you ever at a party when you were younger and an old creepy guy just showed up? Party thinned out pretty fast when it was obvious he wasn't going to leave.

    this will result in more brainwashed youth being fed right wing propaganda non-stop so that the MAGA pipeline doesn’t die out

    they control every piece of social media aside from maybe Reddit

    soon these teenagers will go from dancing videos to TPUSA, PragerU, and right wing rage bait slop being shoved in their face 24/7

    I don't dance
    I'm a chef so I don't need recipes
    And I do not need to eat detergent packages to impress my friends.

    Only social media I use is X but my algorithm is Astros baseball, Texans Football and Rockets Basketball.

    These billionaires are just going to play a very expensive game of wackamole. Is there any evidence that Twitter has shown any growth since Elon borrowed billions to acquire it? Do we actually think the Ellisons are going to turn a profit on TicTok when people find their way onto another platform??

    When people with this much money care this much about suppressing liberal information, and pushing a right wing MAGA agenda what do you think that says about how great the MAGA agenda is for the American people who care about liberties, and freedom??

    Not really a great indictment of the MAGA agenda really being for the little guy.

    If true (Tiktok censorship and privacy-hell-haven), not at all surprised and I wouldn't mind if TikTok turns into another X. People will just leave in droves. It's good overall. These social media platforms with algorithms that no one knows what they're pushing isn't beneficial to society at large.

    With that said, TikTok is a private company. Private social media platforms can censor whatever they want. CA does have a law (AB 587) that requires transparency through reporting (such as content moderation policies), but it doesn't prohibit censorship itself (it can't - would be unconstitutional). Violations only carry civil penalties, not criminal charges.

    p.s. Who's not surprised that American billionaires' ownership of TikTok might be worse than CCP-indirect-ownership?
