30 FTs for tech. gah damn flemmings did his best. oh well. only 2nd loss of the season. although it is a big 12 loss.
Well, a hard-fought game; give TT and their "hometown" refs their props. Home cooking is real. I suspect we will meet again. Kingston is the real deal.
Tough loss. Overall you can't expect to win getting beat on the boards like we were. We got outboarded 44-28 and gave up 11 more offensive rebounds than they did. Not sure how bad the second chance points were but they beat us quite a bit on that as well. TT other than Flemings seemed hungrier and wanted this one more than we did.
Not too bothered with this. Game was lost on those early soft fouls on Cenac and Tugler. With them on the floor, we dont get bullied on the boards. Whatever. We're clearly their superbowl. Let them have this one cause they'll never come close to having anything like our 16 golf national championships! never. ever.
Cenac moves kind of top heavy like Jar Jar Binks. He needs to drop that ass, lower his center of gravity, get in a stance, move his feet, and freakin' block out. [edit: easy for me to say!]
Rebounding and 2nd chance point disparity was because Houston's bigs were taken out of the game early due to foul trouble off soft and questionable calls.
Polls and positioning don't matter anymore. It's about getting to the tournaments healthy. CBB is more like the NBA now. You can even feel the Vegas lines at certain junctures of the game.
Finishing higher in the conference is most certainly better than finishing lower. ...also: I absolutely hate TCU's court
Cenac played his ass off that half, best I've seen him this year against good competition btw: Tugler has played more than 30 minutes once since 12/20 vs Arky (this is game 9)...and he hasn't had fewer than 3 fouls in any of those games. If he could just stay on the court....
That was the worst stretch of play the Coogs have had all season. They can't do. anything right. Need to turn it around and fast.
For a decade or so...UH has a complete inability to run a half-court offense...they just refuse to coach it, learn it, do it. It's mind boggling.
