Ime would absolutely hand over the team to him. That is my issue. He would be a fine backup Pg for us at 20 minutes a game. I’d much prefer we add a Monk, Ellis, Christie, Alvarado than chance Ime with FVV. I hope FVV gets traded in the off-season.

Disagree. How many close games have we blown this year due to late game turnovers and not being able to get into an offensive set? Fred may not be exciting, but he brings a much needed stability to the team. There’s a reason he’s been a winning player wherever he’s been.

I wish we could trade DFS, Tari, Suns pick and Mavs pick for Dillon. I miss him so much.

If FVV came back (actually) healthy and could be worked into the group we have, bit by bit, with minimal disruption (and minimal losses).

It would be a matter of chemistry at first.

I personally doubt he'll be back this season. BUT....If he is and can be nothing less than FVV of last season, big step up. Great for our lineup. Bring balance to the force. Amen back to the 2-3 getting 4 apg and more steals and blocks. Etcetera.

I'm still thinking get a good stopgap before the trade deadline and we'll worry next season about who stays and who goes.

Hyperbole is a thing. The Udoka interview piece from Michael C. Wright has this great line: "Instead, the team has built an offense that dominates inside (with the seventh-highest percentage of points coming in the paint), crashes the glass, and is efficient from three, despite not being prolific."

Here are the problems with Wright's take:
    • throwing up shots and battling for rebounds isn't a "built" offense. It's a "hope-to-score-enough" scheme.
    • his language of "being efficient from three, but not prolific" is that a veiled way of saying, "The Rockets are a below sub-standard of NBA-level shooting team, but they remain hopeful that the percentages will turn in their favor."
At least, Wright is honest about one thing. The team, not the coaching staff, has built this offense. The players are looking at each other, wondering how to put up points, because the coaches aren't really equipped to give feedback. They can manage the team's egos and the front image with the media or refs, but that's about it. And the front office only makes moves in the offseason.

This group of coaches brings almost nothing discernible to the table in terms of X and O's on offense. I mean, it's the NBA, so it has to come from the players. But in the Stone era, we've taken hands-off coaching to a whole new level.

You can re-phrase that to say how many games have we lost by handing the ball to Durant at the half court line and expecting him to beat double teams without turning the ball over? Ime just needs to change strategy, not bring back one of the worst starting Pg’s in the league last year who also has a tendency to play hero ball down the stretch.

Been seeing talk that Indiana could be open to moving Bennedict Mathurin. I’ve always liked his game — plays with edge, attacks the rim, and still has offensive upside. Also has the tools to be a good defender and I feel like Ime would trust and get a lot out of him.

Do you think he’s a realistic target for us, and what would a fair package look like?

Crashes the glass. Laughable, because it seems that a “all effort low skill” team like any of the bottom dwellers we’ve lost to can DOMINATE us on the glass.

F***ing jinx. The day after DD's posting that, Adams goes down like a building under demolition.

DD would prefer his role as the point center in high school type offense.

Makes sense. I figure with Steveo’s injury we are going to add a center.

I guess, but if he loves FVV that much then he's not going to trade him in the offseason. Might as well get it over with, show he's healthy in the playoffs then maybe if he doesn't play well they might change their mind about upgrading in the offseason.

Since late last season, the young guys had already surpassed him but the team was built more for him than them. Now he's joining an established team plus he's ramping up from an injury. I think we get 20-25 minutes per game from him and he could definitely help us in a bench role.

Amen is secure in that role, just had his best game as a floor general and probably has another 20-30 games before FVV returns.

I hate you. Because you beat me to it.

I think after Windhorst the Hutt made sure to round-table Stone's b.s. as a joke live on ESPN, Stone might have retreated from the "multiple FRP" talk.....but there's still 9 days, let's see!
