I think Texans will trade up if they see a guard prospect they think can maul in the run game.

Use the second rounder on the BPA between another guard, DL/Edge/TE/OL.

This team isn’t signing Linderbaum with the way Caserio operates and the fact they are about to pay Will top tier money. CJ is probably next up if he has a good season.

I think Ingram resigning is a must as well.

If you take two guards make one your center and solidify the line.

1.28 Vega Ioane OG, Penn State - Starter at LG

2.38 Christen Miller, DT, Grorgia - Autry replacement

2.59 Jake Golday - LB, Cincinnati - Do it all LB and eventually Al-Shaair replacement

3.69 Max Iheanachor - OT, Arizona State - Future RT

4.106 Caden Curry - Edge, Ohio State - Replacement for D. Taylor who will actually play

4.118 Logan Jones, OC, Iowa - Future center

5.165 Aamil Wagner OT, Notre Dame - Needs a year in strength and conditioning to see what's there. Quick and long.

7.243 Kendall Daniels - LB, Oklahoma - Coverage LB

7.244 Dean Connors - RB, Houston - RB depth and local to boot

In free agency I want to sign Tyler Allgeier (RB/Atl) and Charlie Kolar (TE/Baltimore). I think both guys could really improve the run game without breaking the bank.

Reminds me of Schuab over Manning choice that regime made. We saw how that ended.

Love this mock and signings. Only suggestion would be TE in the 5th.

CJ, Kamari, and 2 1sts. That’s what I would offer.

I would trade for Burrow especially with having Mills as his backup.

I know Vega Ioane out of Penn State is a favorite 1st round pick with a lot of early mock draft projections. Vega is really heavy footed and lacks the agility for a guard in the 1st round. Vega's draft rankings are going to drop after the combine when scouts have finished analyzing his tape and watch him go through drills alongside his peers.

That's what the combine is for... I rarely make up my mind without game tape and the combine #'s to back it up.

Should have saved us from drafting Kenyon Green.

The two offensive lineman from the University of Iowa would be great gets in this years draft. You draft your Guard Gennings Dunker in the 1st round and then go select the Center Logan Jones in the 3rd.

Could be... I want to see combine... but supposedly Logan has really short arms... then again... so did Jason Kelce

If Jones measures like Kelce (esp. short shuttle), I would still draft him

Which mock draft system did you use, please?

I think defensive picks are unnecessary unless Caserio signs/trades for offensive pieces. We have way too many needs on offense to pick anyone on defense through the first 4 rounds at minimun.

I basically used mockdraftdatabase and my gut.

The defense is getting pretty expensive. I don't think you can neglect adding cost controlled talent to it and presume it stays as good of a unit. Perhaps I devoted too much but I thought I got good value in my mock.

BTW, I do think they bring in offensive FA. I named 2 in my post which would help at RB and at TE.

I really like Bentley. He makes a ton of sense for the Texans. He is probably one of the best blocking TE's in the draft. With Bentley, you won't have to trot Fisher out there as an extra lineman. His route running needs a lot of work. He's not going to add a lot to your passing game, but your rushing attack will be a lot better.

TBH, I would not be surprised if the Texans draft 2 Tight Ends this year. Stover and Bryant are depth pieces. Jordan has 2 years of season ending injuries. Schultz needs to be replaced. Shultz is a huge liability on every play that the ball is not thrown to him. I'd expect that one of the two 2nd rounders is spent on a Tight End and a Day 3 picked on someone like Bentley. The Texans spent a lot of time researching Spencer Hawes last year predraft and I expect them to do the same this year

I'm not sure there is a TE that fits the bill that would be value in the first 3 rounds. Most are jumbo WR that are valued there. Take a look at Charlie Kolar though. He's a FA TE from the Ravens. He was known for his receiving chops coming out of Iowa State but realized he'd have to learn to block to get any PT. Turned into a plus blocker but still has the receiving ability. Could be had for a moderate price I think since Andrews is their guy there.
