We have never sucked, but the coach has been playing the WRONG players together and leaning into the wrong players.

Tonight, maybe he has finally figured out that REED Shephard makes the entire team better.....in the clutch and always.

Also, I told you guys Capela was a better fit for this team at C because of his ability to rim run, block shots and rebound at the same rate as Adams.

Capela is our best backup C.

Im still SHOCKED. Im glancing at all the comments and read where Sengun had 1 rebound in a game that physical and could believe it. I had to go back and look at the box scores for myself

KD, all of 200 lbs and playing on the wing had 7...SMH

 

We still 4th in west which is nowhere bad but guess we were all expecting 2nd before season began.

 

Yes I need an opposing player to get Bari mad every game from now on.

 

I've been very critical of Alpi, even calling him a FT choker, but I will defend him on this. Dude hasn't completely recovered from the injury that sidelined him for 5 days. He came back too quickly because the Rockets had lost 2 games in a row.

With Tari and DFS back, the coaching ought to give Alpi a few games off to get it right.

 

i think everyone and their mom in the nba does the step back move whenever they're in iso so reed's hesi threw him way off lol

at the 2 second mark, Cade was most likely anticipating some sort of step back or straight pull up from reed to get a shot off but reed said imma stop and go right past ya.

 

It's very similar to Curry, the defender is so worried about their shot it causes them to get out of position

 

I don’t think people understand how maladjusted and strange the people of Detroit are. Not really even Detroit as much, the greater Detroit /suburb area

It’s a complete dystopia where people are playing tough guy and trying to get into fights for no reason

not surprising KD went off on those clowns


That arena is also the worst in the NBA, bad enough it’s named after a shitty pizza chain but there are really no redeemable qualities, I’ve been to a couple games there and eventually even turned down floor seats since not even worth it

 

I actually half-expected us to be behind Denver, who got a lot better during the offseason. I didn't think San Antonio would pass us yet though. Maybe they won't by the end of the season, who knows?

 

And Sengun still leads the team in rebounds per game so I'm not sure what the point here is other than overreacting to one bad rebounding game

 

Tactical complaining to not get back on defense.

Sengun spent a lot of years building up trust with the fanbase and is undoing a lot of that this year.

 

Sengun had 1 rebound? That's really bad. I'm so tired of his flailing and falling.

 

@Reeko did you see all the empty seats in the 4th for a 1st place Team, no less. Worse than TC.

I hate to jinx it by mentioning it: but, this is the 3rd game in a row Reed has closed the 4th Q. PHI he even played the last 15 minutes of regulation, and SAS played the entire 4th Q, as well. Could be a trend.

 

Nah man just inbounding the ball you dont need a pg for that. What you need are plays that gets guys open and practice to make sure that play is executed.

We got tall guys, we got guards like Amen and Reed.

You are just fooling yourself if you inbounding problem is due to roster lol like if we had prime Kyrie out there instead of Amen how would that make inbound better?

 

Maybe Rox homers but most 3rd parties had us 3/4 behind Nuggets/Lakers. Once FVV went down most projections had us 5/6.

Nuggets were def seen as better than Rox given they added a backup center, upgraded from MPJ to Cam Johnson and added back Bruce Brown for vet min.

 

Yeah. It's like saying Reed is a bad shooter because he shot 1-7 from3 last night. These one game knee jerking is hilarious.

Agreed there’s no way he’s 100%, he seems like a shell of him self most of the time. I don’t know what’s wrong but if he’s not healed we’d be better off letting him rest even if it means losing some games. We’d need a fully healed and engaged Sengun to make noise in the playoffs, and last few games he’s far from that.
