We just beat the second best team in the league with Sengun +2 and dorks in here are talking about wanting to trade him. Unbelievable.
LOL. We know Udoka is clueless. This takes the cake. Guess we're back to the idiotic lob threat days.
Now tell us how much of the time Clint was in the centre of the key (offensively and defensively) vs the perimeter, and then tell us the same for Sengun? It's almost like some people don't actually watch the game nor understand what they watch.
Oh boy can we please trade for a guy who's choked in the playoffs more than he hasn't. The guy who has had teams built around him but still can't do anything? Boy oh boy can we please trade for him and bring him to a team that hasn't been built to suit him and will just magnify the issue x100 worse? Brains. A lot on Clutchfans sorely needs them.
I kind of stopped thinking about Giannis. If peopole cares and thinks we are one of his choices: I'd recommend lurking on Buck's internet space, or listen to their podcasts to see who they actually wanted. The summer when trade talks was strong. Bucks fans wanted different guy(s) on our squad, you can probably guess who. Bucks think very very high of Giannis, it's not just the basketball, it's what he means to the franchise, the fans, and profits of the local businesses (hotels...etc). All that extra comes with a tax to the tearm trading for him, aka: Danny Ainge type of ransom. I don't think folks fully understand how much a Giannis would actually cost. Baseline is Amen AND Alperen + other goodies. 'AND' not 'OR', if only one is offered, the "padding" ramps up significantly , likely include at least two of the three of Bari/Tari/Reed combos, plus all our picks. Now, Stone can tell Buck GM to F-off, but the asking price, is not just some 'sengun' + salary filler and 1 or 2 pick. When making a move, have to think about the plausibility of the next moves. Giannis is not the plug-and-play that KD is, you have re-structure the identity of the team, which will come with its set of risks.
I hope not I’m not a Sengun fan by any means, but watching Giannis play basketball would shred any sort of enjoyment I get out of watching Rockets basketball if I was captured by the enemy, they could electrocute me, waterboard me, rip off my fingernails, but the minute they strap me to a chair and start playing Giannis games on a loop, I’m spilling all sorts of secrets
If I were Stone I would not do the trade, purely out of personal preference. Not my favorite brand of basketball to watch, and not a big fan of watching stars who made their name somewhere else. BUT, Sengun for 31yo Giannis straight up? Come on, of course that's a rationally correct move if it's available. Unless you have a view of Sengun's future outcomes that is incredibly sanguine IMO. Like you think there's a real chance he can be a #1 on a title team. I do not. If you disagree: you don't think it'd be rational to trade Sengun for 1993 Hakeem Olajuwon?
I think the trade winds got to him. Rox locked in an existential battle with Warriors who want Giannis even more
