We heard the complaints but those teams actually got points out of those possessions at a high rate - people don't complain about ugly as much when it works

 

Jabari was good the last 2 games. Today he couldn't handle the bigger Embiid.

The differences between home and road is crazy

17 home games 16.7ppg 7.2rpg 1.8apg 45 percent shooting 39 percent from three
23 road games 14.5ppg 6.7rpg 1.7apg 41 percent shooting 32 percent from three

 

It was asked, he cited that he wanted to change up the defense against Maxey but he did compliment Reed for giving us a spark.

I'd argue Reed does more than give the team a spark, I think he makes the offense actually work since he's someone that the defense has to respect fully.

They have to guard him at all times on the court and that is only true of KD and Sengun (when he's not being an oaf) every other player on our team they can disrespect.

Amen - Just back off of him 20 feet.

Jabari/Tari - Just play solid defense, if they dribble there's a 50% chance of a TO

Everyone else on the team either catch and shoot or like Adams/Capela only score right under the rim.

Reed is the only other player that has to be guarded completely honestly. How he's not seeing the court 30mpg and how part of the offense doesn't revolve around him is criminal.

 

KD’s minutes the last 10 games: 38, 37, 39, 38, 40, 37, 40, 36, 39, and 44

if Ime Thibodeau doesn’t relax, he’ll be dead by March

 

they only other player who can half way create a shot is reed and he hates him.

 

No defense, no passing, can't shoot. Perfect fit for Ime i suppose?

Man Reed is going to be a great player when he leaves during free agency.

 

Of course. That’s always been the answer. I’m not saying he’s right but like the BBS looking for some deep hidden meaning why he doesn’t play more or why he’s taken out or whatever.

What I don't get is that some of hte offense we are seeing is worse than Trae Young or the worst defense in the league. How is he never phased by that?

 

So...in contrast to my "eternal optimist" kind of persona...I have literally 0% belief that we'll even make the conference finals this season.

But if Reed can keep developing (and if Ime stops doing stupid **** like tonight where we just bench him for no reason) it'll be worth it. He's getting smarter on D and more patient on offense. He was the third pick for a reason, weak draft or not.

This is also the lowest I've ever felt about Alpi, who I've been glazing nonstop for four seasons now, but I think a tough summer schedule and his ankle is contributing to how he's been looking recently.

I wonder if Ime is just a better version of Mark Jackson? I hope not. I hope he still has a lot of room to grow as an HC, it's only his 4th year, after all.

 

Get a gift and get to OT but no Reed in OT. Don’t know what Ime is thinking but he needs to give Reed a chance in crucial moments at end of games. Oh well on to the next one. KD needs to rest. Too many minutes played tonight by KD.

still does not understand that great offense always beats great defense and there is a balance . He does not understand Reeds gravity on the floor . He was +7 on the floor tonight! Without a real offense coordinator, this team is going no where.. I did not think it’s so hard to design offensive plays other than kd and Segun ISOs that lead to predictable turnovers in the clutch when teams key in because they know what’s coming

 

Ime might have to just bite the bullet and get more offense and creation on the court

not only does KD play 40 minutes, he has to self-create almost everything with no spacing on the court…it’s too much

it’s amazing that KD is as efficient as he is with how hard he has to work for shots

 

Yep. I don't think there is any conspiracy theory, you see it too. Whenever games get close he swaps in his best defenders. Just how he thinks. It's not going to change. He doesn't hate Reed or have anything against him he's just terrified of playing him on defense in closing minutes.

Sucks we did not win in regulation because it would have been two games in a row where Reed came in and helped in clutch time.

 

it worked last year. it hasn't work that well this year. yet ime keeps going to it

safe to say ime hasn't adapt well this year.

 

Jabari is a role player until proven otherwise at this point. Just like most role players, he plays a lot better at home than on the road. Usually.
