So many reasons we lost this game. But, our best player had 8 turnovers and we missed 12 free throws.

 

Just once I want to see someone ask Ime after he costs us a game like tonight

"So did you accidentally do Philadelphia a favor by benching Sheppard in OT, or did you do them that favor on purpose?"

 

Can Stone return Jabari if he kept the receipt? That new contract had to have come with a 1 year no-scrub guarantee

Bari of the bench till he can be traded. KD is being asked to do too much at 37. Reed’s defense has gotten much better and his gravity on offense should keep him on the floor ahead of all the other guards baring foul trouble… he is the only other real shooter on the team other than KD! Ime seems impossible at this point

 

Ime lost this game.......Having CP3 at the end of games was truly amazing ....Whether missed or made it, you knew it wasnt going to be a turnover, we always got a shot off at minimum....Now, that last shot has a 50%-65% chance of being a turnover before we even get a shot off.....

 

No criticism of Sheppard allowed. Lmao

He made a bad play. That’s a fact. Driving on Embiid with 21 seconds on the shot clock was stupid no matter how you twist it with your biased lens

 

Durant's 8 turnovers killed us. His defense was bad too. That's the biggest negative. We need him to play fewer minutes but give more effort on defense. In general, Sengun and Durant have not been playing good enough defense recently.

I think it's time for Jabari to get benched just to send a developmental message. His jumpers are not so difficult that his consistency should swing this wildly. That's usually reserved for players taking massive volumes of 3's and plenty of pull ups and contested ones. Something like 80% of Jabari's catch and shoot attempts are open or wide open. It's time for him to take his job more seriously.

This was game 42 of the season, it's time to get serious about roles and rotations.

 

I see, well that definitely hasn't happened a ton. I actually think Capela will be pretty good with some more consistent burn going forward

 

Sengun is too soft. He can not break away from that Euro ball. Its embedded in him.

Reed played well in the role I think is best for him....off the bench

Jabari is a serious problem. I can't explain it.

 

Turnovers Turnovers Turnovers Turnovers in the clutch by dumb players. Overtime games are the only reason we are not at least second in the conference. We suck in the clutch because we have players who can't dribble the ball.


The thing that is so frustrating is that the team turns into individuals during overtime. They panic. Every time we get the ball they each want to drive and turn it over with bad passes or poor handles

If you're stupid enough to name a play nobody (close to a hundred people here) can name chances are you're watching the game for 1 reason

Ime kind of just said that he sat Reed because of defense (also threw in 'not just Reed) so yeah, there goes your answer.

Said he gave us a spark but I don't think he understands that Reed hitting those big threes brings energy to the defense, it also demoralizes the other team or it could add pressure to them that they have to make the next shot.

 

Lucky we don’t have Adam tonight, if we do, Ime will play all 5 mins Adam and Sengun in OT. Thats just how dumb he is.

The gravity is huge. Not enough people are realizing that Reed is guarded extremely tightly. Other than Durant he may get the most attention from the defense. It's invaluable and the more playing time he gets the more he and the team will learn how to leverage it but that requires the coaching staff to grow a pair and let him loose

 

Trade Sengun for Giannis

 

Ime has to learn putting in the ‘defense squad’ to end every single game is not the way to go. Utilize Reed’s ability like a good coach and have the guys fight hard defensively like always. These decisions along with not sitting guys who are obviously struggling is costing us games.. ugh. So fixable but the adjustments just aren’t happening the way they need to be

 

Rockets need another scorer....PERIOD! I would go after Kuminga.

Rockets are a ISOBALL team with KD and Sengun, he would fit in well
