I think the crux of being a Christian is as follows: Belief that Jesus is the Christ and that he died and was resurrected. Acknowledgement that we are sinful (bad) and that we need Jesus to fix us. A willingness to change from what we are into one that behaves as Jesus wants. I've got the first two down, but not the third. How about you?
I'm Jewish so I don't have any of those down Wife is Christian tho so we are learning together and reading the bible together . The message of Jesus is powerful.
based on your post history id say youre probably the least christian poster here. you dont follow the teachings of jesus, at least as far as your participation in the D&D goes. trumpism and christianity are incompatible ideologies. you can be a follower of jesus or you can be a trumper...but you cant be both.
No. I think that the Father, the Holy Spirit, and the Christ Jesus are all separate beings. I believe the Father is the only one that is eternal and that he created the others. With that said, I also believe that the Father is in them as well as all people.
Wife is protestant and I'm non den. you might call me a heretic. We enjoy the community and social aspect but are both pragmatic about a lot of hardline issues. I think that's where modern day Christianity falls into a trap, it tries to appease too many (mega church rock concerts with strobe lights) while also remaining rigid in other aspects (abortion, homosexual relationships).
Jesus was called a heretic. Many Christians consider everyone who disagrees with their doctrines to be heretics. The principles of Christianity are extraordinarily easy to understand but not necessarily to follow considering we're all born with sin and live in a forsaken world.
ive never claimed to be an athiest. youre lying once again. isnt that against one of the 10 commandments? youre a trump supporter, which means you are not a christian.
His disingenuous response demonstrates why we're commanded NOT to associate with unbelieving trash like him. 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 (NIV): "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God...".
One of the biggest challenges to being a Godly follower of Christ is dealing with all of the evil trash such as some of the posters in this forum.
you don't need religion to have moral hell if anything, religions can some time be the cause of corruption.
that is trinitarianism which is the same as multigods. You are a heretic to Christianity. there is only One God who is described multiple ways.
Once I saw this guy on a bridge about to jump. I said, "Don't do it!" He said, "Nobody loves me." I said, "God loves you. Do you believe in God?" He said, "Yes." I said, "Are you a Christian or a Jew?" He said, "A Christian." I said, "Me, too! Protestant or Catholic?" He said, "Protestant." I said, "Me, too! What franchise?" He said, "Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Baptist or Southern Baptist?" He said, "Northern Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist or Northern Liberal Baptist?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist." I said, "Me, too! Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region, or Northern Conservative Baptist Eastern Region?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region." I said, "Me, too!" Northern Conservative†Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1879, or Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912?" He said, "Northern Conservative Baptist Great Lakes Region Council of 1912." I said, "Die, heretic!" And I pushed him over.
