I'm fairly positive CJ does nothing at the LOS other than call out "White Eighteeeeen SET HUT". All motions are designed by Caley, and if CJ has any autonomy to audible or manipulate route/protection options, he sure as **** doesn't seem to use it.

We can dream can’t we. CJ and a Hershel Walker type of return for Burrow? Would you do it? It certainly backfired on the Cowboys.

I would at this point. I think when healthy Burrow is top 2 qb and Stroud doesn’t have the iq to get himself anywhere.

He has been AUDIBLING plays since he was a Rookie....WHAT CHANGED?? Coaching!! He's been audibling since highschool. He can only do what he's allowed.

C.J. Stroud's audible calls were integral to Texans' game-winning drive vs. Bucs

Slowik made changes in 2024 and Caley tried to change him this yr. Slowick allowed CJ to run more of what he ran initially at OSU, the first yr but then they made adjustments in 2024, which caused him to get fired.

I can't believe you all forgot about that but people tend to have selective memory. And remember, Nixon got hurt, Nico got hurt, Diggs got hurt, Brevon Jordan got hurt AND Tank got Hurt and Schultz had a bad year. All in CJ's Sophomore yr.

Virtually, the same thing happen again this yr. Ineffective OC and NO weapons. It took Caley the whole yr just to put together a some what effective offense. CJ didnt have a 300 yd game until the end of the yr.

Jawar Jordan, who I thought could've been effective as a 3rd down back, didn't get a chance to play until all the RBs were hurt. People were raving about Noel Pre-Draft and Caley hardly ever used him....SO IS THAT CJ's FAULT TOO?

When I say speed Im talking players like Cheetah, Will Fuller and Xavier Worthy. None of our WRs could separate in the playoffs, besides NICO and he was hurt

You are 100% correct! He was off, way off but Its about timing! Who was he throwing to? Rookies! Except Hutchinson. Who is 3rd team at best.

Ha... But here's the key - Bryce first 2 years was with OC Thomas Brown and this year that changed and now they have Brad Idzik who basically works with the QB and receiver and Dave Canales who calls the play..

So last year Bryce was basically benched and was in the same state as CJ right now... But the Coach has to understand the player he has and work your offense around his strengths and not try to convert the QB to your set offense that is not his strength...

If nothing else this should prove to you why we can’t bring CJ back
Even if you have cognitive dissonance and think he will become the next Brett Favre or Tom Brady, he literally has Texans fans in a civil war right now.

We literally went from standing together thinking we’re finally going to the superbowl to
Star Wars fans and Marvel fans where some are calling out BS and wanting major changes and some are content with the results or current situation and they are defending the organization.

Even with a generational defense, we are in dark times

I really can't imagine another full season with CJ unless he gets rehabbed and fixed. He is processing so slow and inaccurately he is presently a huge liability. He was horrible in both playoff games. Watch Mendoza tonight. He is better than CJ in all phases of the game. Like I wrote before, CJ is broken. No amount of Texan "happy talk" is going to change that.

Baker Mayfield. Change in culture, but also a change in COACHING. Look at the coaches. Notice one that may a big change in a QB in the division? The point is the OC is HUGE in QB development. CJ has not had that.

EXACTLY!! I couldn't have said it any better. Its the COACHING! Now for the past 2yrs they were glad we drafted CJ, rather than Bryce Young, now they want to trade CJ for Bryce Young.....SMH

Fans are FANATICAL. They change from week to week, month to month and yr to yr. As long as the Texans win, they are fine.

Anytime a team is on a long win streak, it has to end at some point. The Texans had been winning with a great defense, one WR and an avg RB.....THINK ABOUT IT.

You take away the one WR and your offense is further hampered.

Even the great Tom Brady couldn't win without weapons. He left New England because he didnt have weapons! And for the last 2yrs going into the playoffs, CJ has not had all of his weapons.

I agree, but there is also another factor. I don't recall Baker having several devastating concussions where he was out for weeks at a time. CJ's brain has been marinated. His stare is vacant. He is not processing normally. He is not responding normally. His accessment of his on performance is grossly inaccurate. The Texans won in Pittsburg in spite of him and lost in NE because of him. Unless he gets "fixed" he is a huge liability that the team can't overcome.

Go back and LOOK....He ran the ball in the 2nd half against N.E twice.
Like I said, he started to play his game in the 2nd half.
