It makes sense, so I really hope they get him a good sports psychologist if he's our guy next year. Doesn't explain the inaccuracy. Maybe that was the hand injury.
Interesting read (about McCarthy but check out their metrics) https://zonecoverage.com/2026/minne...c-may-get-us-closer-to-defining-j-j-mccarthy/
At 3:24 of this video: "CJ Stroud he got intoxated by the success that he had. This man said his rookie season he was one of the 5 best quarterbacks in the NFL. He was going on every platform saying he's that guy, he's that guy and he's regressed every season"
dude thought he's the shiet then God said take down a notch young one. then God served him multiple humble pies lol
he seems like the type that will crawl under his bed and cry once he scrolls on ig. His comments are already on approved mode so nobody can talk bad to him.
it's because so many football fans want CJ to succeed. practically entire nation was cheering for the dude and want him to win (with the exception of dallas, tennesse, indianapolis, jacksonville and perhaps pittsburgh). but he just had to go out there and do...... THAT just so damn disappointing
CJ needs to be doing flash cards against someone all offseason like we did in 3rd grade. Get that processing speed up. I think NFL offenses are too complicated for him with the speed of the game.
Steve Young said NFL QBs need to spend time in the offseason watching film, "like getting your law degree"
But according to some people in here We’re being too hard on him. Eventhough stats, actual game footage and even actual NFL pro player analyst are even calling him out for literally starting to be historically bad. But Demeco and some defenders are saying we’re being too mean to him and just hating.
Laughing stock of the league! WHERE IS THE ACCOUNTABILITY? If you suck on the field, you need to sit. That didn't happen yesterday.
Before the playoffs, I thought there were 15 qbs better than stroud, but now I think there’s 20 that are better than him. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThBLrVhw/
Pro Football Reference has CJ several spots better than that in '25 & '24. But his '23 rookie year matches this, 2nd worst. Though in '23 rookie year, CJ did throw deepest passes in the league by average. Deeper leads to more inaccuracy. In '24, CJ faced the highest pressure rate in the league. Reasonable excuse for bad throws. '25 it was league average pressure rate, with about slightly below average bad throws. Different than what this tweet says. But still, there wasnt a big boost in the other numbers with it
