That's cool but now he's playing against a real offensive mastermind in Reid, the improvisation of Mahomes, and the intelligence of of Kelce. No one has been able to find an answer for what they do.
At what point do we start focusing on Coach Demeco and his decision to stick with Stroud? Switch to Millhouse at half or after the 3rd/ 4th interception and Houston wins the game.
Key 2025 Wins with Davis Mills: November 9, 2025: Texans (36) vs. Jaguars (29) - Led a 19-point comeback. November 16, 2025: Texans (16) vs. Titans (13) - Game-winning field goal. November 20, 2025: Texans (23) vs. Bills (19) - Third straight win.
I’d take Sean McDermott over Demeco… Demeco just doesn’t get the offensive side of the ball. Sending Stroud out there after 4 picks in the first half is indefensible.
DeMeco is in a tough position (like a lot of defensive head coaches). I don't envy him at all regarding our QB situation. However, I trust that he will figure something out. He has to.
Anybody thinking or suggesting Demeco will or should be replaced is 10000% wrong. Like horribly wrong.
Yes. McDermott is a very sharp coach who has been on the doorstep numerous times and has lost to some truly great teams or crazy circumstances. We are not at that contender level right now. And I do not have confidence in Demeco figuring out the offense.
Hate to say it but this POS should have pulled CJ when he turned the ball over 2 times in the first quarter, this should be an indicator from the last game....hate paying stupid ass people millions to do basic things.
Demeco’s defense is historic and Josh Allen is still out there making stupid stupid mistakes that cost his team. If McDermott can’t get it done with Josh Allen, he’s not going to get it done with stroud
Demeco is a great defensive coordinator but his inability to develop CJ Stroud is a head coach failure of monumental proportions. However, I place more blame on Nick Caserio, who brought in a rookie offensive coordinator and rookie quarterback coach to develop CJ. CJ lit up the NFL in his rookie season yet, somehow, the aforementioned brain trust managed to completely destroy their gifted, young, quarterback. Caserio better get it right, for a change, or he too will be leaving Houston along with CJ.
I love Demeco, but not sure he should be on this list just yet, he has failed on the Offensive side of the ball and his game management needs improving. IMO he is on this list because of the D, and I am willing to say he is a top 5 defensive minded coach, but he has "yet" to be an ALL-AROUND GREAT coach like Sean Payton or Andy Reid. I campaigned for DeMeco over Payton, but Payton took on a dumpster fire with Wilson and immediately turned around both sides of the ball for the Broncos, and I will be dammed if he didn't hit on Bo Nix who I thought would be a bust
