I never had any illusions that the Texans were winning this game. Remove CJ from this equation; the offense is not good. You really think they were winning with No Nico and Schultz? The offense was not good with Mills (outside of 1 quarter per game). They need more on the Oline, they need a RB (no Mixon HURT), they need atleast 1 WR to develop opposite Nico. If Higgins and Noel develop, plus you get Tank Dell back...that is huge.

Sorry JR. I’m not reading allat but after today, I think it was CJ all along. Wish we had a Mike McDaniel, Brian Daboll or Mike McCarthy as OC. We might end up needing a QB now.

I think that Caley did a terrible job today but he was missing numerous key pieces and his QB is apparently a psychological mess.

I blame Nick Caserio for our abortion of an offensive line that we've fielded these past three seasons. I have the impression that he's doesn't believe in OL play.

I feel like Caley is in the Epstein files like someone else we know. Can’t wait to those get released along with Caley

Give him another year. Let Nick fix the interior Oline and add another horse in the backfield.

honesty CJ maybe what is keeping his offense from fitting another gear.

Let Nick pick his own staff (get rid of the QB coach first).

Thought he was better at the end of the year compared to the beginning of the year

    They need an experience OC...

I am so sick and tired of our OCs getting called out for not seeing the game amd only seeing their charts...

If the Texans keep Caley they need an experience QB (but not Rodgers)...

But in the end the Texans need to decide on Caley or Stroud...

I mean, you let him go and the what? Will that solve the qb issues? The number one problem is the qb situation and what we gonna do with CJ moving forward. Doesn’t matter if you have the best OC in the league, CJ is not it man

No, not if these guys would just go hire another first year rookie OC. We already suffered the first year blues for the last two years. I wouldn’t put it past them to do it again.

    Fire Slowick!
    Fire Caley!

This doesn’t fix the talent issue. CJ has regressed, OL is subpar, RBs are subpar, and pass catchers other than Nico are subpar - WRs create no separation at all!

Who on Texans offense scares opponents?

Answer - nobody! Therefore predictable & easy to defend.

Nico either. A lot of injury prone guys that get banged up when you need them.

Caley is gone. I personally don’t think he should. He showed improvement. Schemed guys open, improved our gutter trash Oline. Sure he didn’t get the plays called in time, used vets more (Kirk did pop off in the playoffs) ran it up the gut but overall he was a net positive.

However, CJ just hasn’t bought into the offense and I don’t think he’s cerebral enough for it. Or he lacks self criticism and overrates his real skills.

CJ is gonna win this on account of the money and NFL QB situation.

Personally if you can’t get Mike McDaniel on board then bring Caley back. He seems to be the only persons that can mend CJs mental fragility.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement of Caley. I suspect he may be fired, which might have more to do with available candidates - there are several unemployed coaches I'm guessing look appealing: McDaniel, Daboll, perhaps Mike McCarthy.

I didn't think Caley was bad and I don't think they should fire him. But!... While everything got better, it was still too sloppy. The Togiai penalty may have been the death blow: why needlessly complicate such a critical play? If Ryans wants to essentially hire a head coach for the offense who brings a wealth of experience, I wouldn't be upset - except that it was a year too late.
