He has 100% scrambled less since the concussions.

Should probably just man up and wear the pillow helmet. Yeah it looks silly but if he's playing scared then he should just do it.

Man..I remember during his rookie year.

The play was so great I couldn’t believe my eyes, I really thought we found the future at QB.

Hiccups here and there but overall great!

Deep passes in stride, dots to receivers before the camera could even get to the receiver.
Every pass that was out of view I knew the wr had a chance.

Had a party with some friends over, some that didn’t really watch too much football. It was SNF against the colts, as soon as CJ took the field I said this guys gonna be special. 1st play, bomb to Nico for a TD.

Blows my mind he turned into this.

    Begs many questions:
    • Extend him
    • Keep him and franchise tag him
    • Trade him this offseason and
    • Replace him temporarily with who
    • Replace him long-term with who
    • Why was I not invited to "engage in the name calling?" I would have been all for that, whatever it was

I almost want to guarantee he turns back into this AS SOON AS he leaves the Texans. Would be very Houston sports for that to happen

Should be able to get a 3rd/4th rounder for CJ. Take it and run. The future is bright, but not if we waste another yr trying to figure out if we busted on our pick from 3 yrs ago.

LOL, you'd get more than that.

But what do I know? Maybe I should start the 14th CJ Stroud thread on the front page of this forum and ask the riffraff what they think so they can continually repeat their opinions yet again?

Did you know that CJ stands for “Choke Job”? If not, we can start a few more threads so that guy can post it again.

I'm watching Malik Willis highlights.... this is where we are at now.

What a disaster. Fans at NRG are going to boo Stroud off the field every time he misses a throw or especially when he throws a CJ Special... I mean interception.

I'm starting to miss the massage table guy...

I hand the keys to Mills next season. Draft a QB. Sign a journeyman FA QB and let Stroud ride the bench unless there is an emergency due to injury.

It’s an outdated term, but CJ looks shell shocked to me. I don’t think he ever regains his mojo and should maybe retire. He certainly isn’t ready to lead. His demeanor on the bench says it all. He seems to be in a complete fog, looks like a victim after a bombing attack. I think the NFL should mandate the pillow helmets. There is not a game that goes by that someone doesn’t suffer a concussion. I wonder what the stats say about that. The NFL helmet is a weapon and should be regulated.

That stretch last year vs the packers colts and jets where he was sacked 8 times on Halloween honestly feels like the stretch that changed him

I really don’t want to see him play another snap.
Realistically, you pick up his option and work for a trade behind the scenes while picking up the best backup you can find.
Stroud for Mayfield could be a Goff for Stafford type of move.
Don’t sign him long term this off-season.

This is THE REAL crossroads now.. Every NON-Texans on that list, won the Super Bowl, or already went to the Super Bowl.

(Except Herbert). Even Jake Delhomme was 2 missed 2 point conversions from winning the SB. So you can forgive the duds of Super Bowl QB's

Meaning, only the Texans QB's listed are pretenders :(

Or, do you give CJ the Joe Flacco treatment. And eventually knock down the door with CJ?

That was rookie year Flacco. Who lost the SB champs that year. So its patience on a rookie QB. But a 3rd year QB on a down-trend, a little different. Where its more Bears Mitch Trubisky peaked but need to move on. (*For the record, Bears got horrible after Trubisky left with Justin Fields. So grass might not be greener). This is a tough spot

ESPN said Stroud had a higher QBR than Maye that game. Hah what?

Kills that stat in my eyes.

Pretty amazing that the Douglas TD, Bullock got a hand on it prior to getting there.

Diggs TD- Reed got a hand on it. Amazing catch.

    Boutee TD- Insanity catch.

Patriot WR's made some insane catches for Maye that game.

I think its a different game if you don't see the Kirk, Stover, Hutchinson(int) drops.

Texans in my eyes were the better team if the QB doesn't piss the game away. Brutal watching it back.

SO many instances of luck not going the Houston way.

Carlton Davis pick, a millimeter from being OB. That throw was so bad.

Strip sack by Hunter, fails to pick the ball up. Patriots recovered.

Anderson strip sack, Patriots pick it up.

illegal shift on Togiai because he puts his hand in the dirt pre snap on the redzone TD(3 points)

Stroud pick 6 as he was getting destroyed due to Bryant tripping on his own guy when he would have been first read or picking up a block there.

Texans got destroyed by the luck of the bounce, drops, mental errors.

    Football gods hate us. LOL

Yeah QBR was never a legitimate metric
