Using worst playoff QB ratings, minimum 25 passes Stroud is - 4th worst rating in past 20 years - 12th worst rating in past 40 years. In fairness, half the top 25 are Pro Bowlers, Super Bowl winners, and Super Bowl appearance QB's. Meaning you can "excuse" bad games with them since they you to the big game Remove Non Super Bowl QB's (taking out the Jake Delhomme, Stan Humphries types). And Stroud is approaching the Connor Cook, Skylar Thompson, TJ Yates territory of backups thrust into starting Reference lists here https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/wo...t-25-pass-attempts-in-playoff-game-since-2006 https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/wo...t-25-pass-attempts-in-playoff-game-since-1986
All but one was directly from a bad decision or bad throw, and even the one to hutch could've been a better ball. CJ was burning dog poo both playoff games. He was throwing almost INTs and bad throws all game long, and even worse, he wasn't focused, poised, and he mentally collapsed. All we need was Trent Dilfer, and we got Brian Hoyer
why why why why why why whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Bum Loser DNA Sulking ass goober That's #7
Which QBs in Texans history would have won the game? David Carr? Likely yes Tony Banks? Sure Matt Schaub? Yes Rosencopter? Yes and it'd have been entertaining as **** TJ Yates? Yes Matt Leinart? Yes Osweiler? Leaning no Mallet? No Hoyer? Yes Fitzpatrick? Yes DeShaun? Yes
Stroud is a dumbass, just not all that smart. He can't read defenses, can't make quick decisions - just a terrible NFL QB. GOOD RIDDANCE ! DD
CJ Stroud is done. Two years of declining performance is not just a bad streak, it's the new norm. After a fluke rookie season, CJ is what many critics said he'd be; Inaccurate, slow, and weak willed. His worst two career games.were his last two. It was one bad decision after another. He will never be what he was in 23. Unfortunately, Texans leadership will continue to deny the giant red clown nose on their face. The time for hype and prayer is over. This franchise needs to wake the **** up, but they won't because they don't have the stones or the brains to make tough decisions.
Exactly though. We could find any number of QBs that could have take us to an NFC championship game. All we need is a Trent Dilfer. Invest in the D and jettison CJ. If we sign him to a big contract, it's over. The D will have to break up.
I'm not satisfied with CJ's response in the presser. Sure he took accountability but he sounds monotone and flat. No emotion at all. It doesn't move me. He's been like this all year after **** performances.
I need a sports psychologist with a phd to do a deep dive in what the hell happened to CJ after his rookie year, because this fall off is INSANE. I remember his rookie year a lot of the praise he got was for taking care of the ball and not throwing many INTs so what the hell happened?
I didn't see it, probably never will, but what would you expect in front of the press room after *that* game? All chuckles and smiles and making balloon animals and s!!t?
