With this Defense, just get a QB that can run around and protect the ball and we will win the championship. No more Matt Straub, CJ loser kinda QB please.
Mobility isn’t the issue per se. It’s reliability. If you can’t be reliable, at least be able to use your legs. CJ refusing to run means he has to be reliable and he’s showing he cannot be. At least for now, they have to find reliable if they cannot find mobile or reliable + mobile
CJ is indeed painfully slow on his feet and even slower to recognize a possible scrambling opportunity.

Absolutely no on Fields, he’s had multiple opportunities. Willis I would be good with. But there’s plenty of mobile QBs that could possibly be had. AR, Levis, Pickett, Zach, Willis Id even be good with Mac
Would love to watch a QB make amazing plays with his legs only for offensive holding to negate the plays. Doesn’t sound frustrating at all.

I originally wanted to draft Anderson with #2 and waited for Maye also, but had thought CJ would be something after the rookie year. Should have known it was too good to be true.
With this defense you just need a game manager. I’ll take Carson Beck. Especially if I can get him with pick 69 or 108. A guy who continues to get his team to big games. I like CJ but I think he’s damaged goods at this point. Mentally I don’t think he recovers here.
