CJ just wasted a generational defense

The rotoworld.com blurb on CJ tonight

“About the only good news was that Stroud managed avoid any fumbles in one of the worst fiasco performances in recent playoff memory. Missing Nico Collins (concussion) and without Dalton Schultz after a first quarter calf injury, Stroud seemed incapable of delivering a clean ball in adverse New England weather conditions. Almost literally every attempt was inaccurate, with Stroud’s picks being of the “hard-earned” variety rather than hard luck. It was a confidence- and potentially franchise-shaking performance as the Texans mull Stroud’s fifth-year team option for 2027. It will undoubtedly be exercised, but an extension is probably out of the question at this point after Stroud closed the book on his postseason with seven turnovers in eight quarters. Stroud is capable of deep touchdown strikes, but too often loses his mechanics and looks as if he is throwing literal darts over the middle of the field. Heading into his age-25 campaign, Stroud is a player more on the spot than ever”.

Yes. He would be a major upgrade at QB.

I'm truly hurt. I feel like I've been burglarized and robbed at gunpoint. The worst part is knowing exactly who the suspect is... smh.

I'm literally fighting back tears. That's how disappointed I am.

Like, I've never seen a more horrific performance.

So many of us agree. This was a complete wasted opportunity. Atrocious post season performance by Stroud. We were supposed to be bounced last game, but we lucked out. (This game, the NFL was not gonna give us an opportunity. After getting our rushing TD called back for a BS procedural call...)

We wasted an amazing season by this defense. Gotta make the most when you have an opportunity. The snow was ideal but unfortunately the run game died with Trent not being able to go. Then the TOs Stroud had was soo bad... I couldn't stop cursing at work... loudly and my staff heard it.

We needed a "Flacco", a "Wilson" and we got a gun shy QB who had two performances that has permanently defined his post season play. Ironically, his best throw was a bomb that Hutch dropped at the end of our last drive.

Imagine Rodgers with our defense... $&@&$. Hell Rivers or Flacco would've been better. Honestly I thought Demeco would have been more harsh by benching him after the half. But folks were correct... Mills would have been so much better to avoid costly TOs.

Stroud may never recover from this as its gonna follow him for the rest of his career.

Anyways. We as a franchise, city are cursed football town and simply can't do anything. And until we do something meaningful in the post-season... WE AS fans shouldn't reward the team with season tickets. I canceled mine last year - After the start to this season I was so glad... then they had this 10 game run that sucked us all back in. Only to crap the bed in a place of horrors for our franchise.

Anyways... Disappointed for this defense that gave it their all for most of the season. I can guarantee this won't be replicated next season. This is the NFL and teams always adjust.

Stroud, Ryans and Casserio are on the clock.

Caley should not have a job tomorrow.

Your QB needs to have some kind of psycho in him. Look at Brady, Manning, and Mahomes.

You have a lead, possession, and a fresh set of downs, and the defense is cooking, and you make the DUMBEST possible decision, effed up everything.

Defense was mitigating Stroud turnovers all damn game.

This was Strouds 6th playoff game in his 3rd season as a pro, he has ZERO excuse for being that careless.

But we can't afford to start over at QB with a defense that good.

I waited whole week for this. Never in my life have I seen someone play this bad in back to back games. I mean back to back season games but playoffs! He had at least 3 more that could have been intercepted.
