The term GENERATIONAL has been used by a few commentators now. Not enough for consensus yet, but you have to start somewhere.
I agree with everything from linebackers back to cb's. But the combination of hunter and Anderson make everyone's job a bit easier. I'm not discounting all the amazing play by the non-line players, but if you don't put that pressure on the QB's they will find open guys no matter how good the back end of the D is. It starts up front. And Hunter and Anderson do not grow on trees.

Of course he will accept a HC position from any team. He might have several offers before all is said and done.
They remind me of the 2015 Broncos. Peyton Manning was so bad that year, 9 TDs 17 INT. Guess what it didn't matter, because the most points the Denver D gave up in the Playoffs was 18 to NE and Tom Brady. The offense did just enough to win. Really, that's all CJ needs to do.
He really has to consider it if he wants to continue up the coaching tree. We only have to look back at Slowick to see how fast hot candidates can fall out of favor.
I'm guessing/hoping that this is initial year of getting interview(s), and next year he'll be a serious candidate somewhere
Which is why Ryans/Caserio should be looking at DT/CB/LB/S in the 1st 4 rds. I would rather an OG/RB/TE with 2-3 of those picks.
I’m not sure we’ll be in the market for CB or S early. I think Texans really like Jaylen Reed and Jaylin Smith. They’ll just need to be healthy.
There ha to be some preparation to have the resources available for the unexpected needs from injury or bad performance. If all the resources are used up, nothing will be left. It is a very rare season that there is not some room that gets devastated by the unexpected. 2023 OL merry-go-round with 17 OL on the payroll at one point. RB Pierce stumbles. 2024 WRs start falling. Nico, Diggs, Tank... 2025 S across from Bullock, a rookie, fall like flies. TE room destroyed before game 1. Mixon out for the season, Chubs in decline. 2026 Surprises? There will be some. LB? before OTCs?
