i'm probably over-reacting but we should heavily consider a "micro-tank" if this ship doesn't turn around soon. next year going all in with Fred coming back from ACL in his 30s and Durant turning 38 seems like absolute lunacy to me. After that you've burned your window to get pieces around your "franchise youth".

Pick 2 out of Amen/Reed/Sengun and trade everyone else. We didn't draft a clear cut star player from the tank years. That's the unfortunate truth and there isn't a point to me trying to move forward knowing we're play-in fodder caliber after 4 years from the original tank date.

Going through lots of posts here and it seems that a lot of people aren't aware that Ime got an extension last year, so the hot seat for Ime doesn't exist and won't exist for the next few years. Ime is not going anywhere

I was wondering why the goobers at 790 stopped talking about the Rockets cold turkey.

Because texans are in the playoffs and rockets are a boring bunch to tune in rn.

Well he's not going to get fired for nothing, sure. But if he underachieves big time, he will be gone.

Pistons gave Monty Williams a gigantic contract after his time with the suns and let him go pretty quick even tho they were tanking.

We, on the other hand, aren't tanking. We're also not as bad as they were at that time. But currently it's not looking pretty and other than the big winning streak we had, we've looked terrible

Interesting. so talking hypothetically, if Ime is fired next season, Rox still have to pay him the remainder of the contract, correct?

Yeah. It's Tilman's money. Coaches don't count toward the cap. I don't think Tilman would swallow the sunk cost and I don't want him to be fired. But if we are healthy and have a disappointing playoffs, it'll be interesting to see what happens. I sure hope it won't go down that path.

I think we all know that Tillman will not swallow that cost and fire someone while they still paying them

The win took a bit of the sting out of the Texans loss
