It's the Red seats and red everywhere. Do the stage lighting (I think that's what it's called when it's dark in the crowd and the court's lit) and change the chairs to black. That'll solve all our problems. Hire me Stone.
Even with the poison pill, you could do Jabari for Trey III but you'd need a 3rd team with some cap space to make it work Jabari to New Orleans - he counts as $~25m incoming salary. But he only counts for $12.35m in outgoing salary. Trey to Houston, he counts as $25m incoming salary. Brooklyn or Utah as the 3rd team That means the Rockets would need a 3rd team to take on ~$8.1m in outgoing salary. The only player in that price range on the roster is that I'd give up is DFS at $12.7. which leaves you plenty of space to pick up a player to fill the 14th roster spot with a contract somewhere around $5m. Those Dallas and PHX picks don't look so good anymore, I'd throw them in and call it a day.
Need to dump holiday's contract for some cash considerations and yu gi oh starter decks. Take Ime's dragon toy away from him
This is not so far fetched. Backgrounds sure make a difference in baseball. Why not basketball? Except the other teams don’t seem to have a problem with it.
Westbrook would be a good fill in off the bench to get us through the year. Probably the easiest trade out of all. Holiday + 2nds I think he’d be good while Reed still works on his game. Allows him to just be a shooter and get his confidence up. Westbrook best bet at setting guys up. He competes. Best us twice…

There are rumors that Dejounte Murray is already healthy but the Pels are just keeping him out to play the younger guys. FVV and DFS for Murray works. Add one of our worse 1sts or even some 2nds and it should be enough for them. It's a Klutch for Klutch trade so maybe they can convince FVV to waive the no trade. Maybe we can just give him the full MLE to come back next year.
How much would that next contract be anyway? He signed 25M a year before a catastrophic injury and a full MLE is already around 15M a year. If he had a 3 year full MLE promise that might be even better than what he'd get with his bird rights.
Only if he consents to a trade and doesn't exercise player option before trade occurs. The consenting* to a trade would seem to be the hurdle, and not the Bird rights. *other than the Rockets hope he's available later this season.
Anything can happen in this league so I can't say anything is a 0% chance of happening. It is just hard to see FVV waive his NTC and lose his bird rights to go to a non-contending team.
That's fair and it's why I made a point to mention Klutch in my post instead of just saying FVV and DFS for Dejounte. At the end of the day, Fred holds the power of the NTC and if he can somehow be convinced that it is in his best long term interest to waive it then anything is on the table.
Fred we suck donkey balls. You would be better served going to a contender. Hopefully this will work.
FVV would exercise his player option before the trade, such that he retained his Bird rights. The bigger issue is getting him to accept a trade.
I thought you could only exercise the player option once the season ends. Edit: Nevermind I believe you can. I just think the players wait to exercise it.
It could cost him 30-40m over the life of his next 3-4 year contract. There is the possibility that he picks up his option now and is traded .... I don't think there are any financial implications in doing so.
With Cam Thomas losing almost all of his value, would they be willing to trade DFS and a protected pick for Cam Thomas? You get another ball handler/scorer and open up about $7 million in cap space.
