I dont see many QB's that can overcome a case of the happy feet.

Honestly, I don't think CJ is well-suited for a team where O-Line play is the biggest weakness. His best trait is his accuracy and arm strength when his feet are set, and his worst trait is his lack of mobility and ability to pass on the move. If we're going to stick with him as our franchise QB we have to make the O-Line a priority. Otherwise, we should probably trade him for a different type of QB better-suited to what we do.

CJ’s worst trait which is something he has really improved on is decision making while under pressure.

It got much better this year and reared its ugly head today. It was disappointing to see.

Still… he was resilient in making some big time throws after mistakes today.

If there was ever a game to show him he just needs to take care of the ball and they will win… this was the one.

He has to be better for them to beat New England.

Outside the red zone pick which was the first one of the year for him… I actually thought he threw the ball relatively well. Yes we can point to the Nico ball which he could have layered well, but Nico can also make that catch.

On to the next one boys.

Well said, if CJ is the future, then we HAVE to give him an O Line that can block and can bulldoze for the run...........O Line was good last night and CJ dropped some absolute dimes but those TO`s were ugly

There’s not a single QB out there that is well-suited for such a situation.

His bad tendencies ramp up when he’s feeling pressure. He’s feeling pressure more often than not because this line has been a work in progress all season (and will continue to be a work in progress this off-season). Before last night, it was truly amazing how he has limited the TO’s despite the up front inconsistency.

And last year was very similar in terms of both inconsistent line play as well as him putting up numbers (winning games) despite every defensive coordinator basically announcing that they knew what Slowick was trying to do every snap.

As long as he’s not getting killed (or getting the team killed), this is accelerated OTJ training in terms of knowing where the pressure is coming from (presuming that one day the line will actually find some consistency), but its certainly unprecedented that a team with this many holes in the most important area of any offense (the line) can continue to have success.

I still believe in CJ but he cannot play like he did last night and expect the team to overcome it. After that last interception in the red zone I had to turn the game off for a while. I hope he has it out of his system.

I saw one and you saw one too! CJ calmed down and lead the Texans on a drive to finish the game. Completing a 30yrd 3rd down pass and a 7yrd 3rd down pass.

I said it before and I'll continue to say it! Its easy to finish a game when you're playing at your best but to finish when its not going well....THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES!

Look at other QBs around the league, few can turn it around in the same game! Just look at Justin Herbert, who many consider better than Stroud, in the NE game last week.

I think CJ has lost his nerve. I think he's dropping the snaps because he's petrified of the pressure and is focused on that instead of catching the ball. He also seems to panic and his passes sail on wide open receivers. And finally, he throws unnecessary picks under pressure instead of throwing it away or taking the sack. New England's defense is much better than Pittsburgh's. I think we lose at New England and CJ will be the reason. I pray that CJ proves me wrong.

CJ is scared to run after getting concussed against the Broncos. He needs to man up and take those yards. He could've gotten a first down with his legs on that pick in the red zone.

I disagree. He hasnt had a fumble all yr, he has a bad half and now he's lost his nerve? I disagree

I do agree he needs to run to get past the hit he took against Denver. In analogy, he fell off the horse and needs to get back on.

I hope you're right but something was seriously wrong with him last night.

Aikman said he was dropping his eyes and looking at the rush instead of keeping his eyes looking down field.

Yeah , he's gotta play much better or the Texans will lose at Foxboro.
