We still have a 4th & 5th year option, right? Still has to prove his worth, but agreed no reason to rush to pay him this offseason.

Jaysus, can we give it a minute and let it breathe? Just won the first road playoff game in franchise history. We have a **** ton of Yexans fans in PIT right now on SVP screaming SWARM on ESPN while our players are interviewed. Can we just enjoy a ****ing 24 point win on the road and see what happens next week first. Y’all are miserable as ****.

He looks like an average quarterback. I don't think he's worth the max, but I'm pretty sure he's going to get it. He had a bad game, no doubt, but he's still going to get paid. He's young and serviceable with playoff experience. Someone will definitely overpay for that.

He looked like Trent Dilfer today. Need him to be atleast Joe Flacco Sunday.

Ask the Cowboys what happens when you wait. CJ Stroud is the QB. You wait...The $60m will turn into $70, especially if he has a great 2026 season.

If anything, CJ validated those fears that some had. If the defense didn’t bail him out the entire game it very easily could have been a loss.

Making excuses for the weakest part of the team in this game isn’t fruitful either. CJ has to play better, if he really is the “guy”

It's hard enough to win with an *awesome* QB earning big money.

Texans are committing suicide if they don't get value. That great defense costs money after rookie contracts.

CJ had less TO than Justin Herbert did last year in his wild card game. Bottom line here is that I was encouraged by his reads this game. Outside of the fumbles which was due to him trying to extend the plays, he played clean football. The INT sucked but I'll live with that. He was awesome on 3rd down and moved the ball at will

Maybe you watched a different game.
He most definitely did not move the ball at will.

CJ was jittery, really off target and panicked into pressure that wasn’t there. He had a couple nice throws to Kirk. But the bulk of the yardage was towards the end of the game when Steelers were trying to stop the run and got hit with some nice YAC.
Like most games in the past two seasons, he had some nice throws. But they’re intermittent and the majority of the game he’s extremely inconsistent.
He’s not a big off script guys that can make plays outside of structure, he needs to find his poise/ball placement and ability to anticipate throws again. But at this point he’s been an extremely average QB for two seasons

    He has more playoff wins…lol.
Look 5 fumbles and a INT was a weird night. It wasn’t good. However, CJ made some big throws tonight, especially to Kirk.
Again, Texans move the ball and controlled the clock. 32+ minutes of possession - 10/15 on 3rd down. They just need to stop killing themselves with mistakes, and that includes CJ.

They controlled the clock cuz of their running game. Go back and watch the highlights and alot of thows to Kirk were thrown behind him or too high. Especially the one Kirk scored a td on was thrown 3 yards behind him. He played like ****

You need to look again. That 3rd and 15 throw was big time. The other 2 throws to Kirk to convert were also good. He was a not great, but he made plays.
