Mack Brown's first 2 HC jobs were at Appalachian State and Tulane.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make other than to try and make a point.

I hope he stays at Indiana. They gave a huge contract. I would hate to see him a school with unlimited resources unless it’s Texas.

If they win against Miami, I don't know why Cignetti would ever want to leave. It would prove he can win at the highest level there, IU will pay him whatever and he seems to fit Bloomington and the culture of IU very well. There isn't anything UT or any other school could offer him. The B1G's ridiculous TV contracts will keep the revenue flowing for many years to come.

He had the chance to jump to Penn State or Michigan or elsewhere...he's not going anywhere this year, unless the NFL gives him an offer he can't refuse (then all Mark Cuban has to do is match it)

His point was pretty obvious; no one was promoting Cignetti for 25 years until he took a HC job at a place no one had heard of - he was just stuck as a QB coach at numerous schools but never was given a coordinator job or anything else. That's not the normal path for an elite head coach. Mack Brown took a normal path of position coach to OC to HC. It took him under 10 years to get his first HC job.

You seem to be the one arguing for the sake of arguing.

I think yall have some serious recency bias when it comes to coaching. Or maybe I'm just wrong and arguing because I like to? If I had a plugged nickel I'd flip one and take a guess. It's all good :)

That's the level of quality advice that so many of these guys don't get from their "advisors" or family

I’ve been waiting to message all playoffs. I have waited my whole life for this! I am beyond ecstatic! Being an Indiana kid, an IU guy. I cannot tell you what this means to me.

You can bet your ass that I am retiring Bobby Knight and adding Cig as my avatar. ♥️

IU football runs the table and wins a national championship. This boy from Indy cannot believe it happened! They don't have to ever do it again. Nothing can take this away.

For me, this is the greatest season in the history of college football and nothing in the future could ever top it.

I dare say 16-0 is the best all time that may never be topped
