I don't think he can discover many more ways to run "KD iso at the top of the arc"

KD is headed for the graveyard with these minutes and Ime's offensive prowess is not helping anything.

Maybe Amen transforms into a 37% 3PT shooter mid-season or KD is Satchel Paige.

I heard we're going to stretch Reed's arms 4 inches so that his vertical turns him into Ja Morant. Imanimal's insider told me last week when we were having brunch with James Harden and Jimi Hendrix.

heypartner showed us that they had a Curry-like play that gave Reed or Durant an open look at the corner.

But he said that he could not find it in the previous 10 games. I don't think I saw it in the previous game against the Suns either. It blows my mind that we have a play that can free up our best two shooters but they don't do more in-game reps to work out the wrinkles.

    Amputation incoming.

On the bright side, he'll kill it in the Euro Wheelchair Basketball League (EWBL).

Are we 100% convinced that's a play and not an accident? Surely it has to be run at least a few times to really count as "part of the offensive gameplan?"

Yeah but if you call it a 1-4 Action like Ryan Hollins does it's much better than K & Pray

Does it make a difference if they do like some zig zags and stuff before they go stand and wait on the sidelines do you think or is that still the same play?

Ime accidentally or knowingly discovering something in offense but not continuing to apply it is a common theme. I am not surprised we don't run it. Fred gets injured, he is forced to Sengun playmaking, it works, but Ime doesn't embrace that as the main offense. Maybe one of the assistant coaches suggested that play and he went away from it immediately.

I am almost sure that the talent level on the two teams he ran masked his offensive coaching. Time and time again I see him not getting the full or close to full value out of offensive players like Sengun or Reed. Sengun responded extremely well to Ime's defensive demands. And it helped him take a necessary step forward, but you really need to unlock his offensive potential to get full value. And that won't happen when he is asked so much on defense and when you don't play to his strengths in offense.

? we ran it four times that game.

I don't mean to make a big deal about any plays I cap. I just like doing it, and sharing, when i have time. The big fun will be if/when we combine Exit with a middle PnR. PHI recently demonstrated that full Exit Series vs Knicks.

Also, don't think we don't have other off ball plays for Durant. We definitely do. We run stagger away for him (ie double picks), Princeton split-action, but imo, he just goes through the motions, and likes to convert most of them to iso. He did that at GSW, too. The tell is he never sets a pick in split action or slips...I'm not even sure if I've seen him flare off split action. He just expects the other player to do those things, thus adds predictability to split-action — which is designed to be reactive.
fwiw: the key component of that play was Sengun setting the exit. Sengun hasn't played since we first rolled it out v BKN

If he isn't 100% don't let him come back early, even if it stretches all the way to the ASB. I have this suspicion that he was playing through nagging injuries and it negatively affected his production last season. Need him fully healthy down the stretch and into the playoffs.

    @Dobbizzle

As promised, here's a breakdown of Exit Series combined with other actions:

fast forward to 5:24 mark to see us combining Stagger Away with Exit.
after that, video shows Nick Nurse spam PNR with Exit vs NYK, recently

Once Sengun comes back, keep looking for exit series.

Can't they use another big man in place of Sengun to run the same play?

Oh I wasn't doubting you actually, it was more doubting that Ime had fully incorporated something if it was one game alone as an experiment. It is good that there is evidence of something being run though. Kudos for the keen eye and putting the work in for this, I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates the effort.
