He's a plus defense forward who is killer in transition and pseudo transition but otherwise should be off ball either in the dunker's spot or waiting to cut to the rim if he's ignored in the corner.

yeah he's 3s and jumpers are bad at least he's not shooting us out of games
he's shooting close to 80% from the FT line so that gives me hope
it's prolly because of his new role as PG I believe he will continue to work hard on his shots jsut like other aspects of his game and improve to a decent level

So why does Ime not start Reed as PG and move Amen to SF? Is it because Ime thinks Reed is not ready yet?
So question is not how many games we are goin to give Amen at PG but how many games Ime thinks Reed needs to be ready start or after how many games will Stone trade for or acquire a legit PG

Because Amen is not going anywhere he's as untouchable as Alpi both are cornerstones
He'll still be 3rd in minutes played among all players
He will still be one of just 11 players averaging more than 5 assists and shotting at 50% FG%
and of those 11 players he's 3rd in BPM behind SGA and Joker and ahead of Alpi and Freak
    https://www.nba.com/stats/players/t...5:FG_PCT*GE*50&PerMode=PerGame&dir=A&sort=MIN

And in the playoffs he and Alpi will again step up and fight and not crumble and disappear

I take "point guard" in this context of Amen as the primary playmaker. I'm not sure what develop at the SF position means?

I don't see Amen as a primary playmaker without a big leap in shooting but he can be a solid playmaker.

So, I think if we start Reed we suffer defensively. If we start Okogie/Tari, we suffer offensively. There's no way to have our cake and eat it too, so we have the make a choice. By my estimation, I think we are choosing between:

    1) With Reed: #1 Offense (and top 6 in TS%), #9 Defense
    2) With Tari/Okogie: #9 Offense, #1 Defense

I'm a firm believer there's no difference between offense and defense so I'm indifferent to these two options EXCEPT I believe the first option can be improved through in-season experience but in the second option we're at a ceiling. I think we'll get better at hiding and using Reed. Amen being able to slide over for steals and blocks again since he's not chasing small guards around is something people don't realize was helping Sengun's rim protection (along with Brooks and FVV's aggressive angles designed to protect Sengun).

I want Reed on the floor because to cover for the fact that we don't have a perfect primary playmaker, I want to raise the overall average ability of the starting lineup to make plays. With Reed at 1, Amen at 2/3, Durant at 4 and Sengun at 5 a democratized offense works. The pace will be up too. On every night, we will find a position at which one of our 4 playmakers are being guarded by a moron who doesn't know how to pressure without fouling or gambling. I would still say that Sengun (with Amen or Reed bringing the ball up) should be our primary option and imo should take fewer shots. After that, I don't care. Go with the best matchup. Whether drive and dish (Amen), set up guy (Reed), high/mid post (Sengun) or iso (Durant) I'm sure something will work each night. By the end of the season, who knows maybe Amen or Reed improve enough that we can centralize a bit more since that's more stable and safe.

    grand JOF @Mathloom never right

while the whole league and rockets fanbase saw JG as the shot chucking front running loser as he is,
@Mathloom went hard for JG with his endless chapters

while the whole league and rockets fanbase saw Amen as a major problem for the leauge/opposing teams
@Mathloom went hard at Amen declaring him the Rockets "only problem"

It's hilarious that someone who jerked off repeatedly over Jalen Green, doesn't see the irony in now posting a thread like this.

Jalen Fans. Still producing idiotic posts at a shocking clip.

What chapter are we up to in the Amen saga @Mathloom ?

I cannot wait to see the chapters pile up as to how the Suns get worse when Failen Green returns to the lineup and you try to argue it's other's fault.

I'm not sure I've seen such word vomit on Clutchfans before.

Do you want me to break this down to show you how stupid you are once again?

You didn't appreciate me correcting your previous horrendous takes and attacked me personally because of it, thus why I'm point blank calling you a f'ing idiot now.

Would you like me to break this down once again as to why you're an idiot?

Or would doing so waste my time because you'd tuck your tail in between your legs like you did in the other thread and go silent once your stupidity was brought to light?

Jalen fans have been hating on Amen since last year. Fraudsters who stand for nothing. They were ready to write him off just last month as a bust

What a p***y. I called you a jerk and you can’t go an hour without attacking me. I am ignoring you, because you are a jerk. Maybe you are a BTG alt account, the other guy that hates my takes. Great company.

Tari gives defense which turns to offense on breaks or possessions. Can cover 1-4. His 3 ball is superb. He is driving when the ball rotates to him and aggressive to the paint when he has a lane. 4-0 when he starts.

I'm still wondering how much of Tari's 3P improvement is for real. I'm guessing he's no where remotely close to being a 50% three point shooter in the long term because his FT shooting has historically been mediocre-to-poor and he was never a great shooter in college. But I hope that his hot shooting is an indication that there's at least been some improvement and he can be counted on to be at least a 38% to 40% 3P shooter moving forward.

    Let me get this straight.

You attack me personally then have a little tantrum about me 'attacking you' - by simply pointing out inconsistencies with your rhetoric?

    HAHAHAHHAHAHA THIS IS GOLD JERRY.

No, you're ignoring me because i've bent you over too many times now and blatantly hammered home how much of a f'icking pathetic loser you are with your garbage takes.

Take yet another L and tuck your tail between your legs one more time you f'ing idiot.

Historically speaking in the NBA, excellent wing defense + good rebounding + league-average 3PT shooting has always resulted in a player with excellent impact numbers. League average is 36.6% on 3-4 attempts.

I'd be super happy if Tari finished anywhere above league average.

100%. No need to overthink this. Our offense is doing just fine with Tari out there and defense is looking great. And we haven’t lost yet. Strange time to question the current lineup.

It must be painful knowing you flat out lied about your garbage takes.

Then were proven blatantly wrong with statistics.

Then when those statistics were hammered home in a humorous way (obviously not humorous to you, since you were repeatedly getting bent over and abused the way you were) you had to call me a p*ssy.

Ohhhh the irony little b*tch boy :)

What's your next retort going to be b*tch boy? We all know it won't be a good basketball take, because you're incapable of those as I prove time and time again.

I'm on the edge of my seat awaiting what personal attack you'll come up with next in order to deflect from your horrendously woeful basketball takes.
