wrong - 8/24 is not bad efficiency, it's better than taking long 2's, we were never comparing 3's to 3's, we were comparing Sengun's 2's to others taking 3's. so don't mix and match your arguments it just makes you a massive homer.
wrong - when Sengun is taking 20+ fga, there are DEFINITELY long 2s he can cut down on and look to PASS.

i don't know why you are all of a sudden talking about Sengun taking 3's, no one said he shouldn't. I have been consistently talking about Sengun's 2 point shot selection never did i once say anything about his 3's and yes i actually do like him to take 2-3 3 point shots per game. I want him to cut down on taking bad shots and look to FACILITATE more, when he is taking over 20 fga per game it's total BULLSHIT to say he had to take the shot, if anyone NEEDS to take the shot, it's Durant not Sengun.

You are just defending him because you're a massive homer and you can't see that him taking too many fgas is NOT GOOD for the team. Especially when his shot selection isn't that great. When he is taking 20+ fgas a lot of the shots are forced.

So, your conclusion is nobody should take long 3's other than Durant, lol.

We are talking about Sengun's taking 3s as an example of taking an inefficient shot as part of a game plan, not because it was mentioned by you.

I can see him taking too many shots hurting the team. You can't see that he is not doing that. He is averaging 17 shots a game, similar to Durant, which is pretty much where it should be. in an 82 game season there will be games where he takes way too many shots, but 20 is not that number.

If you watch sengun's game and see a player that prefers to shoot long midranges to finding his teammates, than I don't have anything to argue with you. I don't see that on the court, I don't see that in the stats, and I don't see that it causes the team to lose games.

I do see more hesitancy to trust his teammates in Sengun this year or maybe it’s not trust but he is just more focused on scoring aggressively. I think Durant’s style of offense, contrary to what most of us believed going into this year, is a bad match with Sengun. Maybe the synergy will develop with this team and I’m being knee jerk, but I think we would have been better off getting a traditional good 3 pt shooting SG with our trade assets than KD. Of course, maybe KD was the only real difference maker available and we settled.

That is interesting to hear, considering that his assist numbers are up by a considerable amount. It is not something I noticed or paid attention to particularly, so I can't really agree or disagree.

I totally see your point with KD. For years, I listened to the leading Turkish nba analyst saying how KD immediately adapts to any team, how he is a great plug-n-play guy. Now, I understand what he means. KD plays a game independent from the rest of the team. While it is true that he doesn't need a system to contribute, it doesn't mean that he is fitting in either. To me it looks like KD will have chemistry with no one. That's just how he plays. And his play style kind of enforces a your-turn my-turn basketball, which should be confronted by the coaching staff. The only way he passes out of double teams is at the top of the key after a sengun screen, and after that they have a standard Sengun attack, Amen lob, pass to 3pt options. Other than than, no matter how badly he is covered, KD shoots the ball or turns it over. He shoots with good efficiency but that kills the team movement process. At least 3 guys are just standing there, when he has the ball, knowing that they won't get the ball, unless it is passed to Sengun. My solution is to move KD's possessions to the second half of the shot clock, use him as a second option, closer, and play a more motion-offense that uses Sengun, Tari, Reed, Amen as a first option. But that is too much for Udoka. He will have a heart attack, watching the young guys learn how to play together a motion offense with more decision making.

Periodic update of the Huge Nerd Index. It's worth mentioning again that this is weighted for total minutes played (which inherently weights total games played) which is why Steven Adams is maybe lower than you expect, as well as Tari Eason. Also makes the Reed Sheppard ranking even more impressive.

Looks like all-star yet again, and borderline at the least for All-NBA consideration. Last year he was 16th in All-NBA. Can he make 3rd team this year?

He's becoming just ordinary player on this team as time goes by. He should be traded as soon as possible.

You may be giving Udoka too much credit thinking he even knows what "motion offense" means at all. I've seen no evidence of that in his career so far.

Averages a career high assists - second in the entire league behind the best player in basketball at the C position.

"I do see more hesitancy to trust his teammates"

Good lord he's making some people sure act a fool.

Maybe his assists are higher, because he now has teammates that can actually shoot. I didn’t say he was crap at passing, I said I’ve seen a bit more hesitancy and likely because he is trying to score more aggresively, which I don’t even see as a negative. I have seen him on more than one occasion look straight at a wide open Reed and choose to force up a shot instead of passing, that is a hesitancy to trust his teammates. I think my initial assessment of you as a jerk was probably correct.

Poor guy, gets called out for (surprise surprise, yet another) bad take, and doesn't like it.

I love not having you on ignore, you bring good laughs with your horrendous takes.

I know my initial assessment of you not knowing what you're talking about was correct, you repeatedly prove it.

Just to further reiterate your garbage:

    https://www.nba.com/stats/player/1630578/passes-dash?dir=D&sort=FREQUENCY

Reed is literally the third person Sengun passes to most.

Have you put your clown make up on today yet?

Hemingway: Just in, Sengun ignores ALL his teammates!!!!!

How come you haven't responded to any of the call outs in the game chat?

It's ok bro. Silence is golden when you've tucked your tail between your legs and run away out of sheer embarrassment.
