I think it's possible that we will use our first pick on a DT. Thoughts?

If Ohio St DT McDonald or Oregon DT Washington falls to the late 1st then sign me up.

Draft Sierveld and either Tiernan or Chaplin in rds 2-3 and I'll take my chances.

This will be an incredibly fun draft as a Texans fan.

No idea how things will actually shake out.

    Two things.

One, Caserio is ALWAYS looking to trade picks.

Two, I think he might like to draft the right DT with our first pick. However, if the "right" DT isn't available, none of us will be surprised if he trades down and I certainly won't blame him.

I would be thrilled to get Kayden McDonald at 26. However, it is my understanding that Ryans prefers pass-rushing DT's, and McDonald is more of a massive space-eater that is unmovable and shuts down the run.

Keep your eye on McDonald in tomorrow night's game against Miami. I think he's going to make himself some money in the playoff and that he'll be drafted before our turn.

Yeah, I think you’re right. They’re looking for a 3-tech who can really disrupt the QB — explode off the line, win their gap fast, and collapse the pocket. McDonald seems more built for eating space in the run game, but honestly, it would be hard to pass on him if he fell.

McDonald can move for a big man. Think Quinnen Williams or a better Tyliek Williams. He would be a welcome addition, I hope he falls to the bottom of 1st and Ryans Caserio pick him if Ioane isn't there when the Texans pick.

Yea, he moves well but maybe Ryans wants a lighter, more agile DT for even better pass rush???

This is my favorite mock so far!

    Notes:
I think we need to make it a PRIORITY to draft the best center we can get.
I think Deontae Lawson might be the best coverage LB who is also an every down player. I'd really like to get him!
I know nothing about the last two guys I picked. I figured a WR for depth and a cb/safety for special teams.

    26) Houston Texans: Kage Casey, OT, Boise State
The Texans drafted Aireontae Ersery last year and he has been plugged into the LT spot. Casey gives versatility to play RT or kick inside and add a solid run blocker to the interior. He is technique driven with enough suddeness to give athletic pass rushers a problem.

    39) Houston Texans (f/ Washington Commanders): Jadarian Price, RB, Notre Dame
Woody Marks had a good year, but adding another RB may be a priority if Joe Mixon can’t return. Price took a backseat to Jeremiyah Love, but Price is the home run threat. His dynamic outside running should compliment the other RBs.

    58) Houston Texans: Dominique Orange, DL, Iowa State
    66) Houston Texans (f/ New York Giants): Logan Jones, IOL, Iowa
    107) Houston Texans (f/ Washington Commanders): Harold Perkins, LB, LSU
    126) Houston Texans: Michael Trigg, TE, Baylor
    165) Houston Texans: Romello Height, Edge, Texas Tech
    242) Houston Texans: Jeff Caldwell, WR, Cincinnati
    245) Houston Texans (f/ San Francisco 49ers): Giovanni El-Hadi, IOL, Michigan

That's pretty much the most reasonable mock I've seen posted here. I know nothing about Casey, but at least the mocker did enough research to get the positions of need/interest correct. I'd be quite happy with picks 2-7

    Iowa's OL is pretty ridiculous.

...and their redshirt-freshman TE Vonnahme is going to be a freaking stud

OSU/Miami broadcast just showed a stat, after Sonny Styles blew up a play to take Miami out of FG range, that he led D1 with 74 tackles without a missed tackle. That's a bit impressive.

Caserio: "We're ahead of schedule from where we were last year in the draft process. We've begun working on free agency looking at our team needs."

John Harris: 'I love that we keep winning because that means you can trade the 26th pick."

    Mark Vandercarrschaub: { uncomfortable laughter }

Caserio: "Is that what you want, John? (laughs) "

John Harris: " Why not. I love the haul we got last year."

Miami RB Mark Fletcher (big dude with waggle, 6'2", 225ish), who I hadn't paid much attention to until last week's AtM game, looks like a player to me.

Don't catch as many ballgames as I used to but I'm really intrigued by Tyler Allgeier as a buy low impact RB. Thanks @raining threes for dropping his name a page or two back. Allgeier has me rethinking Jonah Coleman in the third round.
