Diggs’ attorney, Michael DiStefano, made a remote appearance in Dedham District Court on Tuesday, seeking to have the police report impounded, arguing that the details should remain sealed. DiStefano also disclosed to the court that Diggs has made a financial offer to resolve the dispute with the alleged victim in this case. I knew you could buy off someone in a civil lawsuit, but can you really this openly do it in a criminal allegation? I'm sure people do it behind the scenes, but to openly tell the court you're going to pay the victim to make the charges go away?
