this is exactly why the Rockets signed Clint. I don’t know if he was the best available 3rd string center, but all the guys slamming Stone for going center instead of guard owe him an apology. Adams had 2 consecutive season with under 60 games, we had to have Adams insurance. DFS was Tari insurance and Okogie was Reed insurance that turned out to be FVV insurance. Stone got all these insurance plans and stayed under the first apron. He has done a masterful job with everything but coaching hires. I hope he isn’t forced to make a stupid trade and sticks to the plan of developing our super core of young players and sprinkling in vets.
I think you are right at the time of the hire. I’m mostly talking about the extension which should have waited until we could see him perform better on the other side of the ball. Defensive only coaches don’t win championships. Here is to hoping he can improve and live up to his contract.
