Becuase they were under seal. We had to wait till Maxwell’s appeals expired. Can’t universally release those records during an active case. That’s why the act passed by Congress forcing threats turnover of those documents wasn’t passed till December.

No the law protected those records because they were part of an active case. That’s why it literally took an act of Congress to force them to be turned over. Records in an ongoing investigation can be selectively released by claiming why they should be exempt from that and you have to have legal standing. Certain records were released that way. But the government cant release records en masse from a case that’s still active. There’s also protections for victims that prevent that. Again, it’s why it took an act of Congress to overcome that.

Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who published a number of stories that illuminated Epstein's crimes in Florida. When the FBI was tracking her travel, she was working on stories about Alex Acosta and the sweetheart deal Epstein received.

Why was the Trump FBI tracking a reporter doing stories on the coverup and why would that be part of the Epstein files?
