Ridiculous. And comparing him to Dilfer is laughable.

Unserious comment in an unserious thread.

Dilfer went like 4 games in a row that year without scoring a TD…the Ravens won regardless. Wild. That, to me, was the best all time defense.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Our defense is generational. He hasn't been good. He misses wide open reads, guts wide open deep, ect...

You can be a fan. I was when he was a rookie. He's a check down or toss it up to Nico now. That's reality

    Defense was underrated.

He had an amazing rookie season. B i think he was top 5 in the league. He's regressed. The line isn't great. Running game the same but he's not playing well. We lose in the playoffs with him missing open receivers

    I won’t argue. It’s between those 2 to me.

Just my opinion. Bears had some offense. Those Ravens had the worst offense I’ve ever seen win a Super Bowl.

I would like to CJ play with a competent OC. That hasn't happened yet. I would also like to see CJ. play behind a competent OL. That hasn't happened yet. I would also like to CJ with a GM that can surround him with more offensive talent. That hasn't happened yet.

I will never understand firing an OC and replacing him with a guy who had never called an NFL play before when your QB has shown what CJ has shown and was entering his third season. That’s insane to me.

But at this point you can't change it up *again* this offseason...

Now the OL/RB/TE "talent" part of his post, I have some faith that they can get it fixed this offseason. Losing Mixon with no real PlanB was a killer this year.

Totally agree with that. I’m not for changing it all up on CJ again.

Looking at the last 20 years of superbowl winning qbs you have:
10 years where a top 5 all time qb won (brady, mahomes, manning, rodgers)
2 years where a qb definitely better then CJ won (brees, stafford)
6 years where a qb definitely worse then CJ won (hurts, foles, flacco, eli, eli, rookie big ben)
2 years where it's a coin flip (russell wilson, 2nd ben superbowl)

If you don't have an all time great, CJ is just fine to win superbowls.

May be tough. Read in a few places that the ''26 draft class is not that deep with offensive line players. Most are projects or particular scheme fits, and the Texans don't know what scheme they want to be.

Your sports opinions need to spend a year in the penalty box. They sound like someone from Boston decided to make a bot invading all the other forums to sow seeds of doubt.

They had Payton so that's a lot. I'll concede that l. I think they had Willie Gault but I could be wrong there.
It's tough to say. Respect your opinion. Good conversation

Yep, they had Payton and Gault. McMahon was meh.

That Ravens team had either a 3 or 4 game stretch without scoring a TD. That’s wild.

EDIT: I was wrong. It was 5 games in a row the Ravens didn’t score a TD. Defense won those games anyway. They allowed 10.3 ppg

Mixon quit over contract stuff. He's always been an idiot. Marks was good until he got hurt. Chubb was a suitable backup. Never get the OL right

I did not know that. That's an insane stretch. I wasn't a McMahon guy. That Ravens defense was insane. When we signed Ed I was hoping he could be a ball hawk in our secondary.

Well, let's hope our defense can carry us. Anderson is a generational player. He's got LT traits. I can see Stingley being like Champ Bailey

Year 3 for CJ. How much more improving do you think we can expect? This is no longer his 1st year in the new system Just like it's no longer Caley's rookie year as OC, so those excuses go out the window for both CJ and Caley. Like I've said before I'm in prove it mode.

Fairness to Dilfer, those games were with Texans Legend®️ Tony Banks starting. Then they switched to Dilfer. Dilfer was average at best, but average was enough to steady the offense.

What's odd is Brian Billick was an offensive "mastermind", leading the iconic record setting '98 Vikings. Then leads an iconic defense. (With mediocre offenses, zero sign of offensive expertise). But that's like Demeco Ryans all of a sudden being Andy Reid
