His defense is def improving as he has grown taller and no longer looks like a midget on the court. Unfortunately with other more high profile players like Jalen Johnson and Stephon Castle he will not win MIP but I think Reed def deserves it.
He doesn't appear to be that strong, so when he fires a bullet pass it always catches me off guard. Gambler is the fastest gun in the west!
Now you've gone from "refused to go left" and "left hand amputated" to adding a bunch of qualifiers to he was favoring his right hand...goal post keep moving... And on top of that a strawman about "not having anything to work on" when in the dialogue between sensible posters I clearly gave examples of things I thought he didnt do well. Next time, just pay more attention and dont make claims and then turtle up with video evidence that shows you're full of ****. Wont be a next time with me, but just a tip for life in general.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Reed is the only one of that group that’s ever going to flirt with a 50 piece in the league.
Gambler working the ball on a yo-yo tonight in those pick-n-rolls. Amazing improvement over last year, can you imagine how he'll look in 2-3 years? More "play-from-behind" steals and blocks tonight, many times he doesn't even try to recover, he just immediately wraps around to gamble for the steal or block. Given thie frequency of it, it's gotta mean that Ime has incorporated it into the defense. Help defenders know to step up as soon as they see Reed start to wrap around. Not sure how effective this is as an "every possession" strategy, but it seems like it could be really effective sporadically. We need to get him to work with Amen and Tari on the ball handling.
Oh, and more spot-on passes tonight too... my favorite was the left-handed reach-out bounce pass to Adams to set up a dunk.
It has to do more with how player plays, both Reed and Rob Dillingham are 6’2 but they legit looked (Played) like 5’11. Now Reed plays like 6’2
Great game. A - from me. but I am gonna be that one guy. gambled a bit much and can easily go the other way with an overzealous ref or good team
18pts, 8ast, 5stl, 3rb and 1to. +25oc. Gotta give that an A. Rarely see lines like that from 2nd year players. He's also starting to cut down on the silly mistakes.
Makes the good read off the defender anticipating the screen and gets into the lane. But doesn't take the shot which I thought he should have... Not really sure what Sengun was doing there, but ball should've been gone and maybe he was thinking the same thing... And then gets himself into trouble trying to dribble it back out. Ends up with a deep wide open missed three, but I would've like to see him pull that wide open middy when he had the chance... Agree on the improvisation to get shots up as well. Definitely needs to keep working on that handle
Yep. Got to take that middy. And are we entirely sure Sengun knows how to run plays? Not sure what he was doing there.
Ah ok - apologies. I've got who you quoted on ignore so I only saw your post, thinking it was referencing Rockets players as 'the group'.
