Not sure if this is rage baiting or not despite the recent struggles, regardless, this team has a **** ton of talent but a mediocre coaching staff. That’s the issue bruh

Terrible post, this team has easily one of the most talented rosters. Missing FVV hurts, with him you have a very good bench in Eason, Adams, Sheppard, DFS, Okogie, and Capela. Amen hasn’t been as consistent but he’s improving,. Durant is as advertised. Bari has improved, Sengun has been great and sometimes dominant, Tari and Adams are giving you exactly what you’d want for their roles, and Reed has taken a big step forward. The real killer is losing all these OT and close games. Mainly due to boneheaded turnovers and poor defense. The talent is there and we’ve been winning based on it. But the lack of an offensive scheme, defensive lapses, and turnovers are keeping us from being a contender.
It is not Talent breh, it is just a wide gap between the players......plus not many real playmakers. 37 and 23 year olds that is all.
Our talent doesn't fit, it is lacking a very important skill of creator on the dribble......to tie it all together. We have a lot of catch and shoot talent and scoring talent, and defensive talent, we lack the creator. DD
The Rockets are 6th overall and 8 games over .500. Clearly, they have talent. Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun are among the most talented players in the NBA. Lots of teams have talent and all teams will have ups and downs. The Rockets are good enough to compete with any team in the league. Maybe they win the title, maybe they get eliminated along the way, maybe they don't even make the playoffs. Anything can happen. None of that means they don't have talent.
This is why I think that if we wanna try and win now, we should try and trade for a pure pg. DFS, Capela, Tate, Holiday - if we send away two of them+a pick for a decent pg, we’ll have an overall significant improvement on offense, that will compensate a slight decline in our defense. Or - we’ll keep the same roster and wait to next season when Fred returns, though I think it’s risky as kd won’t get any younger..

This is a clown thread. This roster has plenty of talent comparing to other teams. Just need Ime to start some actual coaching and we’ll be on one long ass winning streak after another.
The Rocket's raw shooting talent is quite suspect, but maybe player development can improve it. Adding DFS will be a big plus here and in defensive rotations. What we don't have is a DeAaron Fox, like the Spurs have. He was available, and their front office went out and got him. Once you add his presence to the rest of the Spurs talent, you have a formidable team. Players like this can be acquired, but it's costly and requires calculated risk. They also caught a massive break in being able to add Dylan Harper. But the key front office move was adding Fox. If you could add someone who is in the upper half of the league at initiating, turning the corner, and finishing at the rim (with the rest of Fox's scoring pop), this Rocket team would be cooking.
I'm gonna wake up today and make that post. I'll show em. I'm gonna tell em exactly what I think and they'll love me for it.
