It’s the other Kings PG that’s more interesting
He’s younger, cheaper and defensive minded
    Ime will play him more
    Keon Ellis

Kasparas Jakučionis. The heat is hard to deal with. Could Eason get him and FRP. Trade KD for what ever and continue the build. Casper doesn’t fit Coach but nether does the modern NBA. He is the real deal and a younger talent that could be molded into a 2 way player.

If FVV doesn’t veto, we can send him, dfs and tyler smith and get Harden. I guess that we’ll need to throw in some frp’s, as such trade means that LAC are going for a rebuild mode.

Edit - I’m not necessarily supporting such a move, just describing what needs to be made for it to happen.

    Nobody has mention this but
Jae'Sean Tate matches Cole Anthony salary,

Maybe his career could be jumpstarted around a coach like Udoka. I say it would be
a no brainer move. Just see if he can mix in. He was amazing for Magic, still only 25 years old.

Ppl keep saying we need a PG when we are already top 3 in Offence. It’s not a missing PG that’s the problem, it’s Udoka figuring out lineups to finish the games.

I like the suggestions, I don't pay enough attention to the other teams point guards to know who is any good.

But do we really think a second string point guard on a struggling team is going to have what we need to get us past OKC in the playoffs? I don't think there's any PG coming through the door that would make much of a difference other than Derrick White and Boston is not going to trade him for anything less than a couple of 1st rounders and Reed.

We have our PG and it's Reed. He's smart enough and so far is learning faster than I think anyone would have thought. The coaching staff just needs to buy a book from Amazon on BB offensive sets and install the 5 or 6 plays in the first 30 pages or so. Here's one: https://a.co/d/4j8f5oB

The Rockets once traded for 3rd stringer Kyle Lowry and 2nd stringer Goran Dragic. If Stone is a better GM than Morey like most people here think he is, then yes he should be able to find some backup that can make a difference in the playoffs. That's basically his job to do so.

5'8" speed demon Yuki Kawamura. No trade needed, though he might still have a leg injury.

Could we trade Holiday + 2nds for Westbrook? Trade machine says it would work after Jan 16th. I do not think he would be to bad off the bench splitting PG with Reed in the 2nd unit

Jose is on the watch list and paid more than his dues in that horrible organization. I continue to hear that.

Watch keon and Dennis in Sac. Russ, too. Zach is staying but DR is definitely being shopped and wants out. (That would be an amazing pick up for any team atp.)

James is a coin flip (not here though). I see the clippers turning it around though.

Tobias is being shopped heavier than anyone (not a PG, I know). Also, a great guy with similar mgmt. Good vet.

Rich suggests FVV is ahead of schedule, but until then, Dennis would be huge.

Tari has played great, and he would have to be the major piece in anything along with Clint. I know it was just first game back but DFF looked...less than g-league out there. Whew.

Give me Jose or Dennis along with a big who can play 10 a game and rebound. (Also, just because I have had too many friends tell me how loathed he is, I'm glad we'll never have Rudy-Gobert- covid-microphone-goofbag)

I'm not a fan of Schroder's game myself, but even if he is the right guy it's pretty hard to match salary for him without including FVV or DFS. Both of whom are unlikely to agree to a trade to Sacramento. I know DFS doesn't have a NTC but it's still terrible optics to sign him and then trade him away immediately without special circumstances.

I do like adding Alvarado though. And salary matching is much easier with him. I can see him and Reed splitting minutes come playoff time. Defense can be an issue, but that's the whole point of having Ime Udoka as your coach.

the realistic PG we would acquire would require more assets (w/ incremental benefit) than it would be worth to develop sheppard in the remaining months.

You bring up a really good point. If a potential Lowry or Dragic is possible then amen to it. But if not I’d rather work on developing Reed/Amen who we know have upside as a pg, then take on another developmental project and hope we can do it mid season.

Tate and Uncle Jeff for Jose Alvarado. It would need a sweetener, but I hesitate to throw in a blue chip frp.

Of course it's not 100% that we can get that guy. But you expect a high level GM to have a good shot at getting one and to this point, Stone has shown himself to be a high level GM. For instance you mentioned Derrick White, the Celtics gave up a low 1st round pick and a swap for a guy on a lottery team. I'm not saying Stone has to get Spurs Derrick White this deadline, but at least you should expect there to be a good chance he can get that guy.
