LFG....keep the W's coming. Hopefully the offense will have more success and give the defense some rest....
The defense might be overrated. A common occurrence during this season is alot of dropped passes from the opposing receivers. Balls that literally hits them perfectly but just dropped. Those balls aren't dropping anymore and it feels like the secondary is getting exposed. If our pass rush isn't getting any pressure, we will be in trouble. The Chargers have the type of receivers that will give us hell in the slot, over the top, check downs, and veteran savvy. The pass rush must dominate for us to win this game
My biggest fear is the Chargers come out absolutely chomping at the bit to avenge their previous playoff embarassment. I hope the Oline and the offense in general looks competent early so we don't get to a place where the defense can't make any mistakes.
Yea, we skull drug them last year and they will want revenge at home, looks like at least one OT (Ersery) will not play and if Blake Fisher has to start, I am not confident, that poor young man is a BUST. Our D needs to get their swagger back and IMO we go as far as they take us, they need to play almost perfect, and we probably need a score from them or ST`s......................my Texans PTSD is back and I will root my a$$ off but to be honest, I am not feeling it. If this season is a failure because we didn't address the O Line in the off season I am going to be pissed at the Vest and Demeco deserves blame also, he should have been pounding his fist on the table for QUALITY players on the O Line
The Chargers offensive line is terrible at pass protection, like ranked 32nd. If WAJ/Hunter can create some havoc, I like the Texans chances.
Don’t feel as good as this one as I did a few weeks ago. Chargers, w/ a win, can win their division w/ a week 18 win over Denver so both teams have a LOT to play for in this one. Now Texans should have a massive advantage vs Chargers O-line. The pass rush MUST capitalize on that. Hopefully, Jeanty’s performance last week wasn’t a sign of some of the losses to injury we’ve had in the middle of the D-line. And, obviously, the offense will have to be much, much better than they were last week vs The Raiders, and they’ll have to do that w/ even more injuries along a questionable O-line. Also a revenge game narrative in this one after Texans embarrassed The Chargers & Herbert in the playoffs last year. As good as the Texans’ turnaround has been, they’ve achieved absolutely nothing yet. Win, and they clinch a playoff spot while staying in the hunt for the division. Lose, and suddenly they could find themselves in a must-win vs Indy in week 18 just to make the playoffs. Luckily, LA isn’t much of a home-field advantage for their (2) pro football teams
Wasn't worried about any charger in the front seven causing chaos like Jones or Maxx until now with Fisher starting. Odafe is having a resurrection after the trade deadline, nearly killed Mills in garbage time. The Texans still manage to win 26-24 *Take the 5 yards they give you just for lining up to run the ball, now you can do the toss play. * Keep embracing Checkdown Charlie * Some off script opportunities will be there. They would rather give you rushing yards than worry about PA. * Head on the swivel for the safety blitz. Their DBs might be ancient compared to ours, but they're on the same level and putting up some of the best numbers in their careers. Would be nice to watch stress free fussball on Sunday.
If y'all want the Texans to win all I have to do is pick San Diego in my office pick em pool. I did this as an experiment for the KC and Indy games (reverse jinx). 100% Texans win rate.
MJD was surprisingly the closest last week against the raiders. I believe he picked 21-20 Raiders and the final score was 21-23 Texans. He was also the only one to pick a close game.
