Reed does not get any free reign to develop, as CCR pointed out, its incredibly confusing as a player , you don't know whether turning left or right is going to get you screwed.

Ime is not worth this franchise's future

He didn’t play well overall in 3 of last 5 games. Coaching staff likely favors Okogie’s intensity and rebounding. Sheppard still got 28 minutes last game. Doesn’t matter if he starts or not as long as we win.

28-30 mins a game is the target. I would like some of it to come at the expense of Durant’s minutes. Both because I think Durant and Reed are not a good fit and Durant is playing too many minutes. It’s win-win in my book. I think Reed is better situated coming off the bench for now, but don’t care that much. I never understood why you would change a starting unit that was 12-1 and Reed was excelling off the bench.

It's pretty crazy to think Reed is being held back developmentally by the coaching staff.

He's been inconsistent and there's the matter of balance with the roster with 3 rotation players out. I think Reed coming off the bench gives the Rockets an offensive injection, especially when he's on.

Yes, he needs to play to find his consistency - but he is the best dribbler on the team - got to stop this nonsense of KD initiating it is costing us games.

Against the Pels athletic and large wings/front court, Reed wasn't very effective. He is playing.... he's averaging ~26MG and getting good development and is held accountable.

Starting unit needs a pg, but lets keep the best one we have on the bench.

Or better yet when we so start him just put him in the corner and let everyone else keep doing it by committee.

And then when it doesnt work or he makes a mistake the pg we want to play pg is put back on the bench, then lets start the cycle again and wish we had a pg instead of letting the guy whose shown the best pg skills actually play pg.

I don't care if he starts or not, but Reed needs to initiate the offense when he's in the game. Reed is learning on the job and making good decisions with the ball.

I'm still amazed that Amen gets 12 more minutes than Reed each game (basically a whole quarter) to continue his development when, in fact, he's regressing. Reed has a lot of problems - he struggles to keep guys in front of him, he gambles too much for steals, he has trouble finishing in the paint, and his handle could be a bit tighter. But despite all of that, you need guards who can shoot and Amen is not that.

This was driving me crazy last night. The announcers say "he only has 5 points" well he had no chance to get a rhythm or touch the ball. He was legitimately out on the court for 10 minutes of his time last night standing in the corner watching the other four players touch the ball.
