Hot take. Our main starting lineup is fine: Amen Okogie Bari KD Alpy We need the defensive identity of Josh And Amen to offset KDs lack of motor on that side. Alpy is a culprit too but I actually think KD is worse. The problem is the terrible offense we are running. There isn’t any misdirection in our sets. There isn’t any movement at all. Amen should NEVER be spacing the floor, he needs to be in the dunker spot or short roll in half court situations. What happened to Senhub? Why can’t Bari set screens for Amen? Why can’t we try Spain pick and roll? Why can’t Amen be the screener sonetimes. I rarely see us put defenses in a “pick-your-poison” situation. It’s always super obvious what we are trying to do. You can generate double teams without spamming isos. We run crunch time offense the ENTIRE game. Its not hard to scheme against. Ime is a Mark Jackson type culture setter but not an actual tactician.
